Look, he made a comment you took personal so he clarifies exactly what he meant and you still insist on perpetuating the argument. It seems clear to me you have no desire to put this to rest. Why don't both of you just use the handy little function we have called the ignore button and move on?

Nod, I did not like your original post when you made it, and quite frankly, would probably have upset me as well. That being said, you clarified what you had intended the post to say and he still will not bury the hatchet. That was all I getting at. :-)

i really am not trying to keep this going, honestly i was just in a terrible mood yesterday and seeing everyone gang on up jess (and let's be real, it's not like i'm this person who goes around supporting him) set me off.

but noD it would really help (IMO) if you wouldn't do things like say "arguments". i mean...did you really have to use ""?? my opinions are just as valid as your's (and often the same!).

Sorry but I stil take it as an attack, if he had made that remark on here who had kids we would not even be having this discussion.

As a parent I'd be HIGHLY offended and outraged if someone referenced my kids and what I like to do in my free time in the same post. Free time being that fraction of my life that I get to spend away from spending all my energy raising my kids. I feel it was absolutely a dig at Jess' parenting and maybe you who don't have kids can't see that clearly. That "clarification" is nothing but back peddling in my eyes and I don't see how NoD's would convey to the reader that his age was the point and not his parenting. It isn't as if NoD has a hard time expressing his thoughts with clarity in any of his other posts.

I do not wish to get into this whole NoD/Jess malarky fight. Had it been between poster X and Y, I would feel the same way and write a response. My post isn't to take sides with either of these men but to take a side of an argument and give my opinion.

I would certainly expect an apology and perhaps people will not speak about parenting, which is the hardest job on the planet, and their preconceived notions of that job and one's free time.

Please no. While not the intended purpose isn't a thread to take arguments to from other threads a pretty useful thing? Especially since you aren't responded to the other grievances

Adam, you should probably look into this option. I think this thread is OUT OF CONTROL and should be shut down immediately.

I tend to agree. Maybe in the future if an argument needs to be taken out of the original thread it makes more sense to start a new thread (instead of this specific one). That's what the Washboard is here for. Airing your problems/dirty laundry if that stuff should come up.

So even if this thread ends up being locked by somebody.....the Washboard can still be the place to bring an argument/problem so we can keep regular threads as clean as possible.

Maybe it's just me, but I sensed a ton of sarcasm from werther's post in this thread...

Yea certain skins have original/different emoticons. I use the plain jane one and believe some of them are different.
