Nashville's Hot Chicken gave me the feeling of dying. Usually hot is not a problem for me so I told the guy at Bolton's I wanted the hottest. After a couple of bites my nose was running and I was crying. He apologized to me and said I just seemed so confident about it he thought I had been there before. I can't wait to give it another try, a step down on the heat though.
Whenever I look at Popeyes all I can see is "Pope Yes." I mean seriously, who uses lowercase e's and then an upper case y. It doesn't make any sense, and I can never unsee it.
On a very related note, I would love some fried chicken right at this moment.

Yeah, they do that if you ask for the hot. Just ask for the regular and you will be fine.

I'm surprised your alive. I got the regular and thought I was going to die.
Pepperfire wins my hot chicken love. Just had it on Thursday night.
I really like Pepperfire as well, but the only other one I've had is Bolton's. Still haven't had the OG, Prince's.
At Pepperfire, I started with Hot (two levels below the hottest), and it burned me up. Went to Medium, it burned me up. Went to Mild, hot but delicious. I'm back up to Medium now.

I's odd to see this turn into the fried chicken thread. Hopefully the daytime working people get back Monday and rerail this thing with more feelings of the butterflies in the stomach type.
LD no like hot and spicy. Mild and flavorful without the burning, I'm a-ok with. I usually get the mild strips at Popeyes... though there aren't that many around where I am. Usually I see the Crown/Kennedy fried chicken places more frequently. Or the Wings Over places.
