The list of things that Dave Grohl could be doing in May (instead of playing Hangout) now also includes working on a Foo Fighters record. That news makes him at least marginally less likely.
I'm not sure why you posted that link in this thread. How is it relevant?

It's relevant because yes, you are right, it does somewhat make them less likely to play at Hangout. But it doesn't mean we can completely rule them out wither because I know they still have at least one show left in London. And Dave likes to play and loved Hangout when the Foos came thru last time.
Stevie would be cool, just so I could say when I am old "I saw Stevie Wonder" plus, not really caring about being up close for a headliner set makes it easier to catch everything up until the headliner and chill in the back with the other delinquents
I was not super excited to see Stevie at '12 Roo, spent most of the time working my way towards the front so Id have a good spot for JayZ... Realized half way thru the crowd that the music was freakin on point and every mug on the farm was gettin their dance on pretty hard. It was a really cool show, even though I almost never got to stop and take it all in. He won me over big time.
Ill be pumped if it is Stevie. Plus, my wife really just likes to go to shows that she can sing along to and dance the whole time (and I prefer to grind on her with my terrible moves until my knees hurt...im tall, shes short)
Also, ill never forget hearing Stevie say "Im going to stick around to see...I mean hear JayZ."
Then JayZ opened his fucking amazing set by saying "Imma call my momma and tell her Stevie Wonder stuck around to see my set!"

The lineup page isn't letting me see my facebook friends' lineups and won't let me add bands to mine. I mean I'll click "Add to my lineup" and it will highlight, only to refresh and it be unhighlighted.
EDIT: Adding bands to lineup fixed, still won't let me see friend's lineups

Also, looked up a few of Stevie's recent set lists... He plays his hits, and lately he's played Micheal Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Beatles, Billy Joel, etc. Should be cool if it happens.
Dude came out on stage at Roo with a freakin Keytar.

If it's threatening or intimidating to you I can turn it down...just cant turn it off.
I take it all back. I wish Reid didn't hate me for being an internet nerd, because he's easily become one of my favorite people on this board, and that's no joke.
That last comment of his got me too. Solid work. But it's bittersweet. I think this will be the beginning of the end for Reid around here. Posting here and making us laugh makes him a little bit of an internet nerd. He is now faced with a decision: run away from what he might turn into, or embrace becoming what he hates.

Your move Reid.
Ill always be a tweener if I can... Do my best to fit in around here, then completely trash you guys when Im having beers with my lacrosse buddies.

If your moves are anything like this guy's sweet moves, then you, sir, are a legend.

I realize the Friday is pretty stacked, I expect many of these dates to disperse through the weekend. I went through the lineup and made somewhat of a mock schedule based on what is out there (yeah, way too much free time tonight)
Friday: Kings of Leon Trey Anastasio Band The Shins Kendrick Lamar Steve Aoki (date was for Friday, gone now) Passion Pit Grouplove Toots & the Maytals (no HO date, but dates on the 18th and 19th) Revivalists Zion I Anders Osborne (VA date on 18th, no 19th date so he could be either) Luella and the Son
Saturday: The Black Crowes The Sheepdogs Delta Rae Bassnectar (Aoki Friday/Robinson Sunday...- credit: mjb8797)
Sunday: Porter Robinson Galactic Dirty Projectors Shovels & Rope Space Capone Colin Lake
Also, Colin Lake's page had evidence of a possible 5th stage? Maybe it is just under a name I am unfamiliar with anyone know the "BMI Stage"?
Anyone not listed either had no dates on their page, or had all 3 dates listed.
I would have bet money that TAB and Shins were both chevy stage closers. That's weird that their websites have both playing friday. If that is the case, it's no wonder it's taking a bit for the lineup announcement if they're tying to land two big fish besides the headliner. More than likely one of them just put the first day of the fest on their tour dates instead of the whole weekend or the actual date their playing. That wouldn't be the first time that's happened.
Friday is looking stacked. I'm just hoping TAB closes out the chevy stage so I can spend that time saving a good spot for KoL. It seems like Bassnectar will be on Saturday, and i'm glad because I couldn't deal with a Bassnectar/KoL conflict. As for why he'll be on Saturday, it's only common sense since Porter is on Sunday and Aoki is on Friday.

5th Stage: They tore out the old stage inside the Hangout where the kids/VIP stage was last year and someone told me it would be open to everyone this year as a new stage. But renaming could also apply to the letting go stage.
