So the SFX guy is the douchebagg that bought everything up and created Livenation. Now he is doing it again to compete with Livenation??
Dude, you obviously have enough money, go fuckk off and leave music lovers alone. "Muahahahaha!! Festival tickets are not expensive enough, I better work on this!!"

It depends on what Page is doing for the next 20 days. They may do a tour or who knows. There could easily be a Phish spring tour that ends and TAB starts right after, who knows.
So I asked someone that knows the real deal on what's going on with this guy buying Voodoo and HUKA, and this is a very good thing!! The same people will run the show and make all the booking decisions, but they are now bankrolled by a billionaire so having capital to book huge names is not an issue in any way now.
This has been in the works for a good while as well so it is likely it will already be in effect when this lineup drops.
I went from being bummed out early to being very excited now, woot!
I'm a little worried at how awesome the Primavera lineup is because of the unlikelihood that we will get ANYTHING on it due to it being overseas and the weekend after hangout.

Did your buddy say Silverman and Zislin partnered up them? I know the billboard article stated there was no equity in the Hangout. I don't see why his money would be used to book performers. I assume he would just get a cut of Huka's revenue from its services for the Hangout.
Don't know. I do know that Huka will be booking a ton more shows in our area though =) Zislin was the financier, Huka got all the bands. I'm not too worried about this as long as good bands get booked. I really just assumed this would apply to Hofest bookings but I guess that could be an over generalization.

I wouldn't rule out anything from Primavera unless they are already in Europe. If you are playing Hangout the first day and Primavera the 2nd day that is many days to hop across the pond from the East Coast.
Not sufficient because I don't thing you're right. Most bands that aren't megastars aren't that interested in having 5 days downtown between shows as it means they are spending money and not making money.
Nah, even correcting the words you meant to use, I still don't know how that differs from what I said about any of the primavera artists being extremely unlikely to be at hangout. I'm not counting any of them out, but I just have no hope that anyone from it will be at hangout.

You can probably eliminate any of the artists that are playing both Primavera and Governors. It's probably not worth it for most of them to be in Europe for such a short amount of time. That list includes Grizzly Bear, Dino Jr, Animal Collective, Crystal Castles, Local Natives, Deerhunter, Fucked Up, and Wild Nothing.
Is Muse really that likely? What is the full reasoning?
Tour dates make it feasible, they were a strong rumor after the black friday ticket sale, and they just seem like the type of act that this fest would go for.

GF wants to see muse on the 23rd in Orlando. I want to go to the Tame Impala show in Athens.
So Muse at hangout would get me out of that. It's her bday so she will win this one.
You know the Tame Impala show in Athens has been sold out for weeks right? We should get the lineup within the next two weeks unless they pull a coachella on us.

Gophish- Why do you say that? TMV has been over for months now anyways. I saw Bosnian Rainbows @ FFFfest. It's no Mars Volta but still full of the spastic Omar guitar solos we all love.
