Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo in 2013!!
The under-card does make probably the biggest difference. I would like to see a lot of stuff. I would be pleasantly surprised and excited about Sufjan Stevens, ...
We are getting Sufjan'd. No Illinoisemakers unfortunately (schmaybe?!?!), but the Planetarium mess is not coincidence.
sorry this is me being lazy, but did we cover the announcement of Sasquatch's lineup on Monday. Over the last few years they have shared at least one headliner. 2011- Foos and The Flips; 2012- Jack White. I think we might know a headliner tomorrow.
Is Mumford's announcement on Tuesday and great way to wait after Sasquatch and raise speculation for HO and Roo? Or could the shared headliner be KoL, starting to drink the KoL-aide on the southern based band.
My reasoning is this- HO has had only one non-american born headliner- DMB- the South African might as well be American. So for HO to go from mostly all American headliners to none considering Macca, Muse, and Mum, seems out of HO tendencies. I buy KoL more than Muse when taking the history of HO in consideration. Mum fits the HO demo perfectly. Macca is Macca, you take him everytime.
I am changing my top line to Macca- Mum- KoL (prefer Muse because KoL was boring as shizz in Nashville and Muse wasn't, maybe Caleb will have more energy now being off the NO NO WORD!!!)

Nationality doesn't mean ish. As long as its good music and they don't put a Kennedy daughter up on stage during a southern rock show, everything will be fine.
just lol @ both gophish and surfbum flaming each other on this page, while both being wrong, and thinking of the wrong band. and i can laugh cause i used to make the same mistake. just to set both of you straight.
I doubt they'd wait and put it off because of the speculation aspect. A lot of people are still asking for DMB to headline- I really don't think they'd make the connection between Sasquatch and Hangout.

Who remembers from last year: did they make an announcement day before that the lineup was coming?
EDIT: George Clinton and P. Funkadelic are playing May 5 in NOLA, then have a break until June 21. Since the FLips are probably not going to be there this year, I could see George take their place as the super weird, theatrical trippy set. eh?

Yeah, they told us within 24 hours before that they were going to release spults of artists at a time at midnight. I doubt they do that again. Bayfest did it last year, so it's not cool anymore. Release it all at once like every other festival run by people with opposable thumbs.

P Funk in 2013 in no way deserve a subheadliner spot!! George is cracked out and can't keep it together and Diaperman is dead. One of the other main guys died too recently.
P Funk would be cool for the Thurs pre party though.

I caught George Clinton and P-Funk a little less than a year ago for free in my town. Don't expect anything super weird, trippy, or theatrical. It's just funky. George has seen better days and really doesn't do much of anything on stage, but his band is still tight. Their shows are really nothing special these days though.

Damn thats sad. All Good a few years back was super weird. Well, I'm catching him at Sweetwater Fest, so if he IS at Hangout at least I'll be able to decide if its worth it or not.
Also, theres this fest in ATL "Shaky Knees" well, my friend knows the guy putting it on and thats not really important- its May 4/5 and Edward Sharpe is headlining, so I don't know where that puts them as a possible repeat or not, just throwing it out there.

Edward Sharpe headlining ....wow that fest is prob gonna suck!! What a garbage band. The kids will eat it up though. Longinus and I were literally L-O-Ling at them at the close of FFF7 last year. So bad. They played right after The Black Angels too...

Actually it was Black Angels > Explosions in the Sky > Edward Sharpe. We went to go check out De La Soul and Fvcked Up instead of Explosions which was an excellent idea because what little bit we saw of both ruled. Then Turbonegro started and we could only make it through like 2-3 songs before we had to get out of there because it was so horrible and then we saw Edward Sharpe's tomfoolery. Worst festival closers ever...really the only negative thing I have to say about FFF7.
