I posted on HO FB that Macca and Jim James were in the rumor mill and the post said it was deleted if I checked in notifications but could still find it if I scrolled down on the history?
Yeah, I see it. That summers breeze who kept saying "James Paul"'s comments crack me up. You like the beatles dude, we get it.
I'm waiting on them to follow DeLuna's lead and be outside the gate picketing for Jesus.
Lol. That shiz was hilarious at DeLuna. First time that had ever happened to me.
i live by that church. those people are the worst. they've been doing that since i can remember. they stand on the corners on the weekend and scream and yell. they scream and yell in the square at the junior college. they scream and yell in front of mc'quires irish pub on friday nights. i got somewhat hostile with one last year when he kept badgering my GF on our way out after we told him to buzz off too many times. they cover their cars with bumper stickers with all kinds of stuff. my favorite so far: "the party in hell has been cancelled due to the fire" haha!
Monday makes sense. Then tickets on sale Friday? Seeing that the previous "lineup coming Tuesday" turned into "well, one of the next 3 Tuesdays" makes me think that this Tuesday thing doesn't matter. Neither does the possibility of getting DZPZ. If they have a lineup they're not gonna wait for one undercard to release.

...and the january tool newsletter has totally given me a 2/3 chub. the key for me was:
"Therefore, look for a news post that will be exciting to SOME towards the end of the first week in February"
if you're a tool fan and read blair's musings with any frequency whatsoever, you know that he chooses his words very carefully. this waiting is torturous. psshh. i knew the headliners for deluna fest the day the locals only early bird tickets went on sale.

lodging question:
we're staying at the holiday inn express north of the site. if anyone has ever stayed there or knows the area, is it walking distance or do we need to take the bikes. either way, stoked to not be paying for the shuttle this year.

I'd walk. It's not a bad walk, and at night bikes can get a little sketchy. I stayed farther out last year, but we left DMB early and walked a mile or two down the beach and it just seemed like walking was the better way to go- there is a good amount of crazy driving going on.
But yeah top 10 at Hangout for sure. Maybe even top 6 or so - sorryyyyy
I woke up from my nap and see I missed some trolling.
Honestly man? Can you read? I HATE FUN. But I thought I might have a scoop on them playing hangout.
And they would be top 6 or 7 at Hangout so I don't get where you're coming from.
Also - not to burst anyone's bubble on Tool but Sasquatch is announcing their lineup on 2/4. Gonna be interesting to see Hangout and Sasquatch duke it out over some major acts, haha.

Who said your troll was directed about Fun. It's clearly about the Hangout. Troll on though.
Does anyone know why people think that putting band requests on FB's wall does anything? Its the stupidest shiz to me. "please book _______! I will be so HAPPY!" I just don't get it. It's so late in the game, and I really don't think that Hangout cares if this person will be happy or not. It makes no sense. Then you get this chick "I cant wait to see which bands are lucky enough to be on the lineup" wtf is this nonsense? Also, asking for an almost identical lineup as last year. NO. DMB will not be returning. Why do people post shiz like this? What do they think they are going to gain from this??
Had to rant. Maybe you feel the same way I do, maybe I am a moron.

i could see if you posted something right after the current festival is over you might be able to plant a seed that has a remote chance of growing, but at this point in the game? yeah, your recommendations/requests are utterly futile.
Quick poll: Who would you guys rather have: Muse, Green Day, or Mumford?
I'd rather have Muse. I'm not a huge fan of any of the three bands, but I've seen Muse, and the light show is pretty spectacular. But if Muse played, I'd probably be at the EDM tent for Birdy Nam Nam anyway.

You REALLY misunderstood me. I said "sorry" because I think Fun suck. I haven't been to Hangout but I'm dying to go. They'd be top 7 or 8 at Roo, too. Drop the 'tude, weirdo.

Totally with you man. It's not that I hate it, it just feels so awkward. Like, cringe-worthy awkward.
Gophish, usually my presence IS an omen.....that its shiiiiiillllin time! Or time for an STD test.
I'm stoked for the announcement and seeing the requests, wishes and speculation is both fun and educational for us. Without you guys posting and making your voices heard, more fests would suffer. So keep it coming....
There is absolutely no evidence that Hangout gives any fvcks about booking metal. The only reason Motorhead was added late in 2011 is because they were touring with Foo Fighters. And Coheed last year falls under "dude rock." Sad but true. Luckily QOTSA is stoner dude rock so there is some hope there.
