OK, due to restrictions and schedules my friends and i will be leaving for roo on thurs morning from jersey. Does anyone know if the traffic is bad on thursday night at all? has anyone been in it on a thursday night? info is much appreciated
We left last year on Thursday early afternoon and we didn't hit bad traffic. Of course, I'm only about 2 hours away. We hit traffic about 15 miles away from Manchester and then we sat in traffic for about 5 hours or so. We were parked and had our camp set up before the sun went down. It wasn't too bad. What time in the morning are you planning on leaving and how far of a drive is it?
last year we left nashville at like 7 or 8 p.m. and then stopped at the wal-mart in murfreesboro for what probably turned into a half hour or so.
we hit exit 111 on 24 south at about 10p.m. and that was the first point at which we ran into any traffic. we ended up sitting in traffic from that point for only about 4 hours and rolled into camp around 2 a.m..
it wasn't bad at all considering the other horror stories that i have heard.

id say were leaving at like 11 am / noonish on thursday, and its about a 16 hour trip, getting us there at the wee hours of the morning, but we will all be switching driving/sleeping duty so fatigue wont really be a factor
