got my ticket yesssssssssssssssss! first tier, as well, thanks to my best friends dad and his money, hooking it up nice and early...otherwise i wouldn't have had the money to pay for it myself for awhile. i still have to pay, but, he saved me at least 50 bucks, because theres no way id have one coming for me otherwise...

Aww I wish I saw this thread after I bought my ticket! This is my first Bonnaroo ever and I can't even tell you have excited I was when I was buying my ticket!! I was all set to order by 11:55am and I just get refreshing the page and finally the little "purchase tickets now" (or whatever it said) appeared and I was like yeayyyyyy. I am also a slightly broke college student so I was literally praying I would get the first tier... and I guess it was meant to be b/c I got it!!! I also pre-purchased the Bonnaroo 2008 DVD I can't wait to see you all there!!
i got my ticket the 1st day but 3 tier, was playing a lacrosse game, at 12 then had to get on the bus and go back to college. As well my parents bought my ticket, broke college student...bonnarooooooooooooooooooo

thought i'd add my story got 5 tickets at tier 2. I'm hoping my friends earn enough to pay me back or else they'll owe me their lives. $1200+ on my credit card makes me very uneasy. Thing is, I'll be moving from Florida to New York in May, and tickets are shipped May 28. I don't have the address of the place my roommates/friends and I will be living so I'm having the tickets shipped to my parents house, and they're going to overnight them to me or to my sister's house in Ny.
Let's all give a round of applause to cool parents!
Got a pair of VIP's. Taking my 14 year old boy to spend four days doin' the father son bond and cover "everything" thing. He and I share our passion for music. Plus at Bonnaroo, I will have all kinds of real life examples of what to do and not do. I hope it isn't too rough for him.
Got my tix a few minutes ago...I live about 4 miles from it so i am dreading the drive there...lol..Look forward to another year of good music with good people having a good time..

Karma to you man, I have a 5 year old son and I cannot WAIT to get to do those things with him . Karma for the father/son commitment man, kudos.

guys.. I'm slightly scared! They're ALREADY sold out of the 2nd tier tickets.. I can't believe it. I really am thinking roo might really sell out.. I won't be able to get my ticket until atleast April or so.. last year we bought them in June!
Does anyone else here who's financially unable to get their's yet seem a little worried?!
well i sorta am, but if roo falls through there's always wakarusa. the drive's long, but its not too bad. and the lineup is good so i wouldn't be crushed if i had to go there instead

well, even if the roo tickets sell out, there's always people selling on ebay, craigslist, and you can find some people on the boards to help you out. Hopefully it doesn't get to that point with me though. I'll be crushed if I have to wait another year for roo!
But it got me thinking, if they're ALREADY on the 3 tier, roo is going to be hella packed...

Second tier sold out within a half hour of tix going on sale. Someone posted a link to an article where I believe it said there were 5,000 Tier 1 and 10,000 tier 2 tix. There should be plenty left for you by April.

I ended up selling the tickets I bought for my friends who bailed below the tier 1 price on ebay in the month before the concert last year. I lost a little money but I didnt really care since other people got to enjoy Bonnaroo. i guess thats Karma.

that's good news!!! Really good news.. but I figured if they DID sell out, I would hopefully have enough time to find some or something.
I would never make the trip to roo and plan to buy from a scalper.. I'm too OCD with that stuff.. i have to have all of my ducks in a row.. and I love making lists, lol

do you have a link to the article or remember where it was posted? I'm curious to read it
a guy who works for SuperFly posted this on bonnaroos myspace on the 16th. I had a hell of time sifting through the bs to go back through and find it. Don't know how legit it is but it sounded good to me....
"there were around 5,000 Tier 1 tickets and about 10,000 Tier 2 tickets.
sooooo there is around 65,000 tickets left for Tier 3.
I thought I read similar in actual article but I can't seem to find it right now.

That's awesome!!! I have two boys, 10 and 7, whom I'm waiting to take to Roo when the time is right. You did the right thing by choosing VIP. It will ease his experience tenfold.
JUST got my ticket!! It took me a while to scrounge up the dolla dolla billz! You know, I'm excited, but I have already known that I am going no matter what for a few weeks, so I've already been really excited! But after I pay my rent I am only going to have $15 to my name, no joke. Oh, well! "Its happening! Its all happening!"

Your money might be gone, but at least it's in the right place.

Just got my ticket yesterday. It's my first 'Roo (I've been to ACL for the last three years and to Lolla last year) and I'm psyched to be going. Flying out from San Francisco on the 11th and rocking it solo. Hope to meet up with some good folks there!
