You'd lose that bet. Fleetwood would be this years Beach Boys.
#4
I always bet long shot. For the record I believe they will be #4, but for argument sake: Prince - RATM - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Mumford & Sons - Fleetwood Mac **** I know I'm gonna catch shiz for putting Mumford before the Mac, I don't agree with it, but I can see it happening.

haha I wasn't sure if anyone was going to pick that up. I actually posted the same video before when Fleetwood Mac was brought up and didn't want to again.
I wasn't intending to pass the joke off as my own. I was quoting the show.

lets say theres a .001% chance that Led Zeppelin goes on Letterman tonight, announce a one off at Bonnaroo. Does Bonnaroo sell out first few hours?
.001% chance is overly optimistic.
my point was about the sellout not them doing it. Im just curious as to what would make roo sell out instantly. However, I will be watching hoping for this

First of all you're a crazy person for thinking they would one off Bonnaroo, but I like your style! To answer your question, it would sell out in minutes, and instantly resold on stubhub for thousands!

4/17 Jim James
5/17 Foals
6/8 Tallest Man On Earth
6/11 Local Natives
6/13-16 Bonnaroo
7/6 Bob Dylan, My Morning Jacket, and Wilco
7/12-14 Forecastle
8/15 STS9 and Umphreys McGee
10/25-27 Mountain Oasis
They most likely will not close What stage. That puts them outside top 3. If I'm wrong I'll be disappointed there weren't larger bands booked, for about 5 seconds, then I'll be crazy pumped for Bonnaroo again

I feel like they're bigger than The Beach Boys or Buffalo Springfield (debatable on the former, but definitely the latter), as they play arenas and the others don't. I don't quite seem them as a What Stage closer though. Not impossible at all, but I could really see them as a co-headliner. I think spot 3 or 4 on the lineup is right for them. Any lower kinda feels like a slap in the face imo.
Upcoming shows:
4/18 - Zeds Dead
4/27 - STS9
4/30 - Suicidal Tendencies
5/1 - The Black Crowes
5/2 - A Day to Remember
5/3 - Smashing Pumpkins
5/8 - Phoenix
5/10 - Borgore
5/11 - Clutch
5/16-19 - Hangout Music and Arts Festival
5/25 - Sunset Music Festival
5/26 - Yngwie Malmsteen
6/3 - Killswitch Engage
6/7 - Fleetwood Mac
6/13-16 - BONNAROO

I feel like the beach boys play amphitheaters in part cause they are an amphitheater band. DMB plays ampitheaters for the most part and they were #1 on the lineup with 4 headliners

Fleetwood Mac IS a headliner. Thats almost as ridiculous as wondering if the Eagles are headliners. Classic acts sell Huge tickets at the highest prices. Beck has a new album, so he could headline over FM?? Wow. Some acts sellout arenas at $50 a ticket.... And some sellout stadiums at $150 a ticket
