The biggest problem that I can see with this Johnnie Davis guy is that he attracts a bunch of hapless flies to the rage-fueled bug zapper that is the Headliner Speculation thread.
Second, and this is probably the biggest thing, he doesn't add anything to the community. No one knows who this guy is, he just leaches off the boards and then brags about how much he knows all over Facebook. People do a lot of work on here watching tour dates and watching festival lineups in order to come up with a lot if these rumors. He doesn't contribute to any of that but then posts what he sees elsewhere.
Neither do I nor a lot of board lurkers, but I spread the info out to all my roo buds who don't read these boards, and he does give credit where credit is due. He may be doing it the most publicly but he's definitely not the only one disseminating inforoo information.
I do the same thing, but I'm sure you see the difference between telling your buddies McCartney is headlining and posting it on Bonnaroo's Facebook page daily.
Inforoo comes up on every google search i've ever done for bonnaroo. I cruised the site for 2-3 years before finally opening a profile, and know a number of people that have read it since 08 without ever logging in.
Could someone please explain to me why everyone gets up in arms when someone shares the information the board has found? I'm legitimately curious. This is an open forum, and a lot of the information comes from the artists themselves (I'm aware of the issue about contacting agents, but that was dealt with so I'm ignoring that). All of the information on inforoo is already available to pretty much everyone in the world simply by virtue of being on an open forum on the internet. People like our broflexer friend Johnnie Davis are just making other people aware that this information is available to them. In terms of consequences, what effect does this have? AC frowns upon such information-gathering collaboration, and gets stricter about leaking lineup information? It seems to me like even then, the end result is the same: the lineup drops and then we all decide whether or not we go to one of the best festivals in the country. To me it doesn't seem like sharing inforoo information prevents that from happening in any way. The vitriol thrown at people who share the info on this site seems rather unwarranted to me, but perhaps I'm missing something?
The dude is confirming bands that have not been confirmed and crediting Inforoo with it. That's my main beef. He's taking bands that we've confirmed and mixing them with some heavily rumored acts and saying we confirmed them. He's also claiming credit for it which doesn't always make people happy.
Is it just me or does the new Bonnaroo web-site look like a website for a day care run by a bunch of child molesters?
I mean you've got a yoyo. A disco ball with tape over its mouth. A tent with some creepy eyes staring out. A ferris wheel with its pants down. A toy truck. And a toy foot long hot dog. Oh, and a "fountain" that looks like a sperming mushroom. So frackin creepy!

Would like the follow artists at Roo: Empire of the Sun (though they're in the denied list), Yeasayer (same - denied), Holy Ghost!, Reptar, and Ryan Hemsworth.
Haven't matched with dates but AC has to deal with Forecastle, too.
I actually like the top banner area with the logo and the tower, the clay splash look is kinda unique. I enjoy that every bonnaroo has a different look. Some are better than others but they are all distinct.
That said the design gets increasingly worse as you scroll down. Once I hit the ferris wheel wearing jeans and chucks it sort of lost me to an extent.

The Ferris wheel pants are killing me. I had a good laugh when I saw that. It's so hideous.
"In the darkness hundreds of glowsticks streaked the air like tracer shots in war. Giant inflatables bounced over dozens of light sabers pointed skyward. Stuffed animals impaled on sticks danced above the hot crowds, puppeted by someone just given ecstasy by a friend made seconds before."
There's no way they're going to keep some of those designs.
As for this Johnny Mirror Flexer or whatever, he annoys me basically for the reasons ITM said. He's saying things that aren't true and saying that this board said it. Meanwhile, he's acting like a he's a god because he found all this information and is doing the public a favor when in reality he didn't do sh*t. Yet, if some of the stuff turns out to be wrong, he'll just say "Well Inforoo was wrong, not me." For arguments sake, I'll say we've confirmed Macca, but we haven't 100% confirmed the other headliners and never did we say either WSP or "Further" (how this genius spells it) were going to be there. I believe the posters here that say Bjork and Petty will be there but the "whole board" hasn't confirmed it yet.
Oh, and I also hate him because of his profile picture. Yeah, mainly his profile picture.

The disco ball looks like a sad hostage. I am concerned for his safety.
