I know its easy for some to hate on Green Day but god damn what I'm envisioning of their Bonnaroo set would be insane. They would know what they're getting into and they would kill. I'm not expecting many to agree with me but I'm pretty confident in that assumption. It would at least be better than RHCP seeing as how Green Day actually gives a shiz about every show they play.

I am hearing Eric Clapton is touring Europe and a possible US tour is next year. I know Roo seems to not get many Euro's to headline but that would be a good one. And it's always fun to hear who will never play Roo, think about these names Metallica, Kanye, Eminem, Bruce Springsteen, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder. I'm sure before they were announced and played Roo there were many who said no way. To me the only way you rule a band out: They are dead, or broken up (Led Zeppelin, Talking Heads) they don't tour or will be scheduled for a far away venue during Roo other than that look at the old lineups there are many bands you can argue won't, can't shouldn't , don't make sense, not popular enough, too popular, cost too much, won't fit in, Bottom line is ya never know.

I'm not a big Green Day or RHCP fan, I was looking forward to RHCP and did they underwhelm. Big let down. So that's not a high set bar, I'd be OK with them playing around 5pm or so. I'd go check that out and would bet it'd be better than RHCP.
seriously? Beyonce over anybody would be greatly dissapointing and kinda find it hard to believe its actually being talked about. Would almost be as bad as a bieber or a gaga there
It would be similar to Gaga but way different from Bieber. I'm not a fan of Beyonce or Lady Gaga but they are huge name acts that can draw a crowd and put on a good show (based on all the accounts I've heard). It's not crazy to think they would get booked.
As others have mentioned in this thread....there was a time where people would think you were crazy for suggesting Metallica, Eminem, or Tool would be headlining Bonnaroo.
Clapton and Green Day both have dates in Europe the weekend of Roo. Clapton at Roo would be fun, someday hopefully.
Good find. I'd say that makes him extremely unlikely but you know there will be people coming here in a few months saying "he has a day off...he could fly in and play and fly out" which is technically possible but highly unlikely to happen.

This year's Roo was strange to me, Centeroo was always packed, Skrillex's show seemed packed from the which stage to each of the tent's. But the lots were not as packed, the line in was short, seemed less people. So I'm thinking they may step up with some big acts this coming year.

I would think of sales, if you add Beyonce or Gaga and they don't play in Tennesee or anywhere near (which seems possible) next year you will add ticket sales. Some (not me) will pay more than 200 for Beyonce or Gaga. I don't care, I always think less people at the stage I'm at.

Which show of hers did you see live? Was it a festival set or a regular tour date?
Lolla a couple years back. I also have friends who saw her play the Allstate here maybe two years ago, months after the lolla show, and said it was pretty much the same thing. Her whining about how she got picked on when she was in high school for half the show. When she did perform it wasn't bad but she kept stopping to say she got picked on. It's like, "shut up and play poker face already!"
