In 2011 Insider said Lil Wayne wasn't playing and then he wound up doing LN Which.. So Insider wasn't even 100% accurate... That being said I hope Juggs is right, but I'm not exactly running to grab my cell phone off the charger to text all my friends.

Maybe it's a matter of not knowing when/if you are trolling. You've certainly trolled the shiz out of our Coachella thread.
Saying that Coachella is cancelled or that the headliners are fun./RHCP/the Killers shouldn't even count as trolling, it's so damn obvious. I've actually put up a bunch of info in that Coachella thread, and if it was private, I'd put up a bunch more. I generally don't "troll" by posting false informatin, if I troll it consists mainly of telling you all how worthless you are. And I do that with love.
I just find it odd that the unwillingness to reveal the source is an issue. Would it be more credible if I was some goon off the street who was all "my cousin's boyfriend works for the company that tunes McCartney's guitar and he was told to be in Manchester Tennessee in June!!!"? I doubt it. I can't reveal my source because it's not even slightly ambiguous - it's not like "someone who works for Superfly" or "one of the Big Capp Dogg's minions." It's a personal connection where there would be no doubt where it came from, and I really don't want to get this person in trouble.
I've actually got a couple more things (not headliners - at least, I don't think so, probably top ten though) which I can't let out of the bag until next week.
As someone who doesn't earn a paycheck without adhering to the valuable commodity of confidentiality, I'm going to go ahead and cosign Jugs' sentiment.
I have friends all over the music industry, but I don't hound them to leak artists because a) I'm patient; and b) nobody likes to work with "that guy."
Lil Wayne fudged the whole schedule up shouldnt blame insider because he couldnt get a time that worked for Bonnaroo. He went on as soon as he showed up probably like another famous rapper we know...
Insider was confused. She was told "Lil Wayne is out" after Eminem was locked down but all it meant was Wayne wouldn't be the main stage rap act. She took that to mean as an artist on the lineup at the time.

I mean they wanted him as a headliner earlier on in the night. They were desperate to have him he was in his prime so they gave him a latenight What stage act that fit with his tour schedule. Total guess off of insider denying him that the situation was that Roo was bouncing time slots back and forth and came to the conclusion they cant get him unless he performs a (rare) latenight What show.
Ok guys so what's our headliner that's gonna attract the casual college/high school music fan? I'm not saying I think we need one but you know that's a conversation they have... I think we're gonna get stuck with Green Day
Is Greenday even attracting college kids anymore? Im pretty sure there still riding that 90s wave seeing that Good Riddance was played at every graduation/breakup/BFF moves/cat dies scenario of the era. They could be gaining popularity with the new albums but i dont think they attract a strong demographic like Pearl Jam or...sigh DMB fans that would show to set up at the rail for Greenday.
First off I'll always be a Green Day fan and anyone who's seen them live in the last five years can attest to how incredible their shows are. With that being said their draw is just as big if not bigger than they were in the 90's, with GA tickets consistently selling for over a thousand dollars on sites like stubhub. As well as selling out multiple nights at arenas on every tour. In regards to their popularity over Pearl Jam I'd say the only place where they aren't bigger than Pearl Jam is the US. But worldwide I'd say they still have them beat.
I'm not preaching that everyone should be on board with Green Day cause I understand they're not for everyone at this point in their career. But the idea of Bonnaroo not benefitting from booking Green Day would is ludicrous seeing how their fanbase far exceeds just college kids these days.
Ok end of rant. I'll appreciate your respectful rebuttals as well as your "what's next good charlotte?" or "this is bonnaroo not warped tour" or whatever manner you wish you compare me to a 15 year old girl. I've been on inforoo long enough to know what I'm getting into.
After the facebook wall post of the Artist Direct confirmation list incident, and the "cut it out" message from AC or whoever, a super secret private thread was created for trusted member of the board. This is a place where all the secrets of the Bonnaverse are kept hidden, and it's keepers rejoice in such bliss, it makes the orgys of the ancient Roman Empire blush.
