Also, there's a part of me that would LOVE for Superfly to try and book Kanye, only for him to reject it and post an angry, all-caps missive on Twitter about how they f*cked him over last time and he'd never play Bonnaroo and how they don't deserve him. The meltdown here would be spectacular.
I could have sworn there was a post in the Artist Confirmation thread that Kanye's people were in talks with Bonnaroo.
I have to think that Mumford and Kanye are at least equally likely at this point. Only reason Mumford was ever that likely was because they would fit well and we had nobody else. Now we have Kanye who fits equally as someone who will attract a younger crowd and actually has shown plans to do American shows in June

Well, there's also the reason that when they visited the farm two years ago, their Which stage crowd was enormous and that their demand has only gone up since then.
This is the same thing I said. They fit ie. they are headliners, they are liked by the roo crowd, they attract a demographic that the festival is looking for. However, they arent touring around the south or the USA, they havent hinted to it at all, they were the defacto headliner because they were the only band that fit. Now Kanye fits the same demographic, is also clear headliner material, and has a festival show a week before in the USA. He's gotta be more likely
