Oh god. Please don't say this. I really don't think we are going to be able to go to Roo next year but Beck is seriously the ultimate draw for us. It would be torture for him to be there and we couldn't be.

Honestly... He kinda sucked at Governors Ball 2 weeks ago....
Interesting....others have said it was pretty awesome.
Beck delivered a set that was dedicated to his greatest hits. There was no new stuff tested, no mention of a new album. Sure, I would love to know what his next direction will be, but when he busts a set covering the best of each era of his career, how can one worry about what’s next?
Backed by the band that he made Sea Change with, Beck not only made a playlist any Beck fan would approve of, but a set that could be defined simply as rocking. It was no bullshit, let’s play the best stuff as best as we can. Most of Odelay dominated the set, along with a proper chain of Sea Change classics. From there it was like a flashback to Beck’s finest moments. It was the sort of set that we often dream for our favorite artists to play. Usually we need to sit through unfamilar new stuff in order to get to the goods. That wasn’t the case with Beck, who simply brought his best foot forward.
I left Governors Ball with my ears ringing in the best way possible humming through “Loser” and “E-Pro” on my journey home north.
Beck's nostalgic set was one of the highlights of the closing day of this year's Governor's Ball (June 24, 2012), according to Rolling Stone. Now something of an elder statesman of the alternative music scene, Beck treated the crowds to a set that was half-filled with songs from what many consider to be his 'heyday' (i.e. from the Odelay album through to Sea Change). He was the headlining act on a day in which very few of the acts (barring Fiona Apple) had albums to promote, meaning the atmosphere was relaxed and bands were happy to churn out the crowd pleasers.

that sounds awesome but honestly I don't think I would want to see him play any sea changes.I like sea changes slot but his more up tempo music is what I love. Guero is my favorite album of all time and I would mostly want to hear songs from it.
Whats the best spot for Beck this year? LN Which or a Which closer? Id rather see him over there than on the big stage personally. Sundown set would be good too, but I think my preference would definitely be LN Which.

I think the thing with Beck is he works so well in so many different places. He could get a LN and play a funky dance party but he could also play a mix with more of an acoustic set and it would still be great. I personally would prefer a set heavy on guero, the information, odelay, and midnite vultures.
