You're nuts. And I say that as a Liverpool supporter.
Reverse jinx. I support Tottenham, so by not putting them in there and putting Liverpool in, I'm hopefully not jinxing the team I like and jinxing the team my very annoying friend supports. Pretty sure explaining the reverse jinx negates its power tho, so..f*ck.
Edit: I also don't know as much about EPL as I'd like to, so I didn't know Liverpool was bad and thought it was more a down year for them.
Red Sox ownership has driven me to have a deep hatred of Liverpool.
I hate to double post, but this is important. Van Persie officially going to United.
Nothing like a 20 million pounds to wash the taste of a horrendous Euro performance out of your mouth!
That's not really how transfer fees work. United are paying Arsenal the reported 20-24 million pounds. Van Persie's contract will then agreed upon and most likely kept secret by United. There is not the same amount of transparency with contracts over there.

Oh, I know how the transfer fee works, I just threw a round number out there.

I need some help please. My husband decided to start following soccer after a lifetime of shunning the sport. His team is West Ham. I need a team to pull for. A team that is better than his. Our friend who got him started in this suggested tottenham or everton. Any suggestions?
I own a share in a lower level team called Ebbsfleet United, based southeast of London. 50 quid a year and you get voting rights on team business and about 1/1600th stock in the team.
I have not paid attention to the EPL that much in recent years, but watching a team owned by a bunch of random people on the internet struggle through the ranks of professional football ... kinda unique.

Tottenham are a rival of West Ham. Not sure if that helps. You can join me and Flanzo too edit: by the way I liked your post for not liking West Ham , aka #winning
Ned, I think Dembele is going to be huge for us too. Great passing and movement from him. I'm hoping he can drop deep and play in the double pivot. I'm not expecting anymore goals like today's ( ) though.

January transfer window bump.
It's shaping up to be a two horse race at the top of the EPL, although United appear pretty infallible at this point. The most interesting stories of the 2nd half will be watching if 'Arry can keep QPR up, and who claims the final Champions League spot between Spurs, Arsenal, and Everton. (It's going to be Arsenal)
Regarding La Liga, this Messi guy's not half bad eh?
Serie A - only things worth reporting are cheating and racism. The Italians do both best. The racism is more appallingly widespread, but the cheating is the more dangerous to the viability of the league.
