Mike D has set the bar high on this one. The few people who have asked to be considered are only wanting it if Mike D does not get it. Well it appears everyone thinks that he should. I need to get ready for work tonight and get ready to go out on the road tomorrow. So let us just cut to the chase. Mike D is the winner! Mike I am going to send you my phone number you can call or text me I do not have to be at work till 1000pm tonight and I am going to be "sick" tomorrow so will be free all day because only this music will soothe me!

Who all is going to the concert, and who all intends to meet up before hand?
If you live in Nashville, post the time that you will be available If you live else where, post the time that you anticipate arriving in Nashville.
Nature Boy (Joel) and I will be available from after 4 or so, but I doubt we are going to be down with going early to lower broadway. Corsair has two for ones but no food. That being said I am planning on bringing a butterflied broiled chicken with au jus a house salad and mashed potatoes if enough people are interested I can make two and bring them to corsair. Also if someone wanted to bring something else take out or picnicy they would also be cool with that. It is a 2 minute drive to bridgestone from there and I just can not pay the tourist trap prices on lower broad.
Also remember if you bring cash you can park at the library garage for 4 dollars and it is a very short walk to the arena from there, and easily the cheapest downtown parking there is.

Congrats Mike D!!!
Enjoy the show. I would have entered if only I were about 6 hours closer, but I in no way would have been able to express it it in such an awesome way as you.
I'm not Mike D, and I would't want to speak for him. But that was just an INCREDIBLE show tonight. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect from Roger Waters, performing one of the greatest rock albums -- ever. With G.E. Smith capably ripping all of Gilmour's leads
I hope Jess, Druid, Lono, Mike and the rest of our locals enjoyed it (even half) as much as I did. What a mind-blowing show. Guhhh. Farkin amazing.
Extremely impressive show indeed. It is, by far, the best show I have seen to date. If you have seen The Wall Live you know this, if not, I don't think words can really describe it. A plane crashing into the stage, massive props including the flying pig, the teacher, mother, etc . . . not to mention the wall that spanned literally the entire width of the arena from side to side, and as high as the bottom row of seats on the club level. The music itself seemed absolutely flawless, set the bar as high as you can and Waters and company will at least double it.
I still don't know if it has sunk in yet. I never thought I would be able to witness such an awesome and musically historic production. During the show, it truly felt surreal. The fact that the ticket was gifted/miracled to me multiplied that beyond belief. I have been to shows, such as Trans Siberian Orchestra, that had a massive production along with the music . . . nothing close to this. Chills and goosebumps, smiles and adrenaline pumping, the crowd going fucking nuts . . . . that show set the bar higher than my application post I also experienced something I never thought I would during a concert. Still not sure exactly what it was, but I now understand witnessing a show so powerful that it will bring a tear to your eye (which in the past has been pretty fucking weird concept to me). The references to war and my Polish grandparents' Nazi tags on their arms, my familiarity with the album and the original movie, memories of those who I originally watched the film with back in college, being such a powerful album, the hype I had read about it prior to going, and the amazing and selfless friends that made the experience possible - throw all this together, crank up the volume, and there is a life changing event right there. On top of all this, I also ensured that I didn't have any "mental enhancements" other than 2 pints of beer at the meetup - not a chance in hell I was going to miss, or be distracted for, a single second of this.
I have thanked you close to a million times Lono, but words can not describe what you made possible for me last night - hell, I don't even know how to explain it to my self. I still almost feel that I shouldn't have witnessed something that incredible, but am extremely appreciative of the fact that I did.
And all this made possible by these crazy internet friends I happened to stumble upon a few years back . . . . I love you crazy fuckers

I agree / concur with every part of this statement. I am pretty sure that everyone in attendance got a little misty during the videos of the children reacting to their loved ones coming home from war.
Glad you had a good time Mike Hi to everyone that was there and nice to see my peeps. I am super tired. I had a lot of weirdness go down after the show. I finally woke up at 6am in Nashville and again at 11am and then drove back to Kentucky and slept again there at my friends house anf then drove two hours to my home. Anyway I am off work tonight and am going to sleep.

Michelle got so shitfaced at the bar that I had to get a a cab to to driver her from the Tin Roof to the Comfort Inn across the street. It is nice packing your girl into the hotel like a cave man over the shoulder.

I love this place so much! Lono you are the Man!!! Very cool gift! Mike D, you spoke about getting emotional at the show, your post radiates that emotion. Most definitely, the right person got the right gift. I am very happy you got to experience this. ;D and since it happened on Inforoo, we all get to experience it with you!
