Can anyone give me a reasonable explanation as to why Action Bronson dirties his tracks by letting Riff Raff on them? Seriously, that guy is f*cking awful.

the world will never really know flanz, but Riff Raff does a decent job on one of Meyhem's tracks so I'll give him a pure foolishness pass.
At least he doesn't take him self seriously, and if he does... even better.

He was on that MTV show with Farnsworth Bentley, right?
But yeah, I don't mind his whole act, just his rapping. If he was a hype man or something I wouldn't care, but I think he smokes to much pcp to be hyped about anything, ever.

Was he? lol. might as well have been Andy Milonakous for all I care about MTV anymore

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha, front row second from the right. Action, dear sir, as a fan who loves you as a rapper, STOP THIS MADNESS.
One of his chains is Slimer from the Ghostbuster, though, which is sweet. Who doesn't love Slimer?
Lord$ Never Worry is definitely getting a lot of play in my field office the past few days, too. Like them both a lot, the A$ap gang's production sounds so much cleaner than on A$ap's solo album. Really happy with their development as someone who loves seeing young rappers start to realize their potential.
I will always advocate for a People Under the Stairs return, either Fri/Sat afternoon
I listened to them all the time in college, I've seen them live 3 times and didn't like any of their shows, and one was in a small setting so I was only one of about 50 people. That one was a big letdown because I thought there was no way I wouldn't like them live.
Wonder where? I've saw them at Knitting Factory (Brooklyn) and Brooklyn Bowl (with less heads then expected which was actually a relief). I had a great time at both shows - and bkbowl they jumped into anything the crowd asked for
edit: I would also comment that I know a lot of folks don't really like b-boy heavy hip hop either -- not everyone is going to dig PUTS, just like not everyone can get into Atmosphere or Murs

I wish I remember where the first show I went to was, it was lower east side in a cafe/restaurant type of place. Gym Class Heroes opened, then some other group I can't even remember, the PUTS. FWIW, I still like PUTS' stupid stuff, but their live show has never done anything for me. I saw them at Roo but I was way in the back and there were like 30 people on the stage when I got there so I had no idea what the hell was going on.
Where's the peanut gallery weighing in on this thread? - I'm pretty curious how other people feel about artists and how they would translate to playing on the farm. Likely or Unlikely

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
id like to see big sean get a 12am-1am this tent spot
On Thursday?
I'd say at this point in his career he's further along than cudi or lupe were when they played roo and they played on a saturday night. I'd be plenty happy if he closed a tent on thursday though

Uh...no he isn't. Not even close. Cudi had Man on the Moon out for a year before he performed at Roo, and Lupe had Food & Liquor AND The Cool come out before he performed.
Big Sean has.......some verses on Kanye's stuff and "Finally Famous." I don't think FF is on the level of the albums above, and I'm not even talking about skill I'm talking about notoriety. I know Big Sean's album went pretty high on the Billboard 200, but he's not yet on the level of hype that Lupe/Cudi were at when they performed. Maybe he can ride the Kanye train to some more hype, but I can't see him being a solo late night act.

I forgot lupe had the cool out by that point also. I will still argue that marvin gaye and chardoney and A$$ were bigger singles than anything lupe ever released though. I think by the time seans second album comes out (well before roo next year) that he will be easily bigger than both of them. Like I said though id be more than happy with him closing a tent thursday

Jesus dude.
Were you in Guantanamo Bay Prison in 2007? "Superstar" was the most overplayed song I may have ever heard.
You're not winning this battle, you didn't even remember an album that reached #1 on the hip-hop Billboard charts.

Uh, as sh*tty as your school radio station might have been, I can assure you most definitely that two of the biggest hip-hop stations in the world (Hot 97 and Power 105) played that song, and its countless remix offshoots, countless times.
If you walked up to some random 20-something and started singing "Superstar," they would know it. If you went up to a random 20-something and started singing Marvin Gaye & Chardonney, there's about a 30% chance they know what the hell you're singing.
Stop overrating Big Sean because you're a fan of his, it's an honest mistake that all of us make, but I'm not sure you're aware you're doing it.

Hey don't forget his killer work on that slammin' Justin Bieber track.
and to think all of this could have been avoided when i said id be totally fine with him playing thursday. I somehow forgot youre a complete a-hole though and need to win the internets. my bad. youre awesome. douche
