Did anyone notice that Rush is playing the next night in ATL. They have the 31st off. Primus happens to have the next day off. Rush is playing Charlotte on the 30th just a stones throw from ATL. Hmmm... Halloween in ATL...3D. Special guests anyone?

I would love to know exactly what "3D" means in terms of this concert...are we gonna have to wear glasses? Are we going to be treated to a crazy hologram experience? Anybody heard anything??
^^^ I'm keeping w/ my dreamy little dream. I think the Halloween Primus 3D show crossing paths w/ Rush playing Nov 1 (both in ATL and Rush has no show booked on Halloween, Primus has no show booked on Nov 1) means something interesting is gonna happen.
Wishful thinking but I already got my Oct 31 tix! If anyone else is going we should meet up for a beer somewhere beforehand.
looks like a screen with glasses like they would give you at the movies. im just going off what ive seen so far on youtube though....
This is true. However, the 3-D effects are MUCH better than a movie, since the images are built just for the sole purpose of being 3-D, haha. Great show and they played some songs I've never heard live before and they played about 1/2 of the new album
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

^^^^ Bummer I got a friend coming in from B-ham but he should be here around 5ish. We're def gonna try to hit Victory Sandwich Bar after the show (a tip o'the hat to Mayo for turning me on to that place. So if your up for delicious sandwiches and Jack and Coke slushies after the show...!
I would be down, but we'd already made plans to haul ass to Terminal West after Primus to catch Shpongle. Then we have to drive back to Mobile to drop a couple people off...then drive to Austin for FFF. >.< Next time...I'll be back in ATL dec 29th for Umphrey's.
I caught the 3D show at moogfest, alot of the people I was with were saying it wasnt as cool as it was hyped up to be...I sorta think that might have to do with the countless other amazing light shows seen at moog 2012 though
Goddamn! I dont care what anyone says if you have the chance to see this tour DO IT!!! Best show ive seen in a long long time! on a side note Atlanta knows how to party!
Atlanta show was the best Primus show that I've ever been too. This band just keeps getting better. That Tommy the Cat into Too Many Puppies encore was so epic. They dplayed three songs that I had never seen them do live before too: Dirty Drowning Man, Hamburger Train, and The Heckler. Set 1 American Life Dirty Drowning Man Moron TV Southbound Pachyderm Over the Falls Lee Van Cleef Spagetti Western Wynona's Big Brown Beaver Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers Set 2 Hamburger Train Del Davis Tree Farm Glass Sandwich Jilly's on Smack On the Tweek Again My Name Is Mud The Heckler Extinction Burst Harold of the Rocks Encore: Tommy the Cat (With "The Awakening" Snippet) Too Many Puppies (With "Hello Skinny" Snippet)

I almost made the trip for the Atlanta show, but then Sandy dropped 10-12 inches of snow on my ass and I didn't feel like driving in it. Probably a mistake.
Someone's torrenting the show from Halloween on etree! I'm downloading it now, I'll chime back in on the quality when I get a chance.
EDIT: Weelllllll, not so great sounding. Props to the taper for taping it though and I appreciate their effort. Lot of crowd noise and I swear it's my buddy from birmingham you can hear singing almost the whole time. BUT it's worth a DL if you were there if not just for the memories it brings back.
What a great show!!! Say I live under a rock, but I have never seen a 3d movie/game/etc (except for the several minutes in Nightmare On Elm St: Freddy's Dead), and I thought the 3d aspect of the show was just fantastic! Also, Skerik joined the band for several songs! Second Primus show, and it far exceeded my expectations!!!

^^^The 3D was amazing! It was no joke. Favorite mind blowing moment of the show was the elephant jumping on a trampoline during Southbound Pachyderm. I've never seen Primus before live and I never thought of them as psychedelic but that show....fucking WHOA DUDE!!
