Kid-A is definitely my #1. Kill the Moonlight, Sound of Silver, Father Son and Holy Ghost, and Discovery are all in the top as well, but I'd have to think about it a lot more than I'm going to have time for before
Yeah - definitely a few I haven't given a listen yet. It's funny, I'll look at these lists and see an artist and think "yes - you got it right including them on this list". Then I'll see the album they picked and it's "NO - but you got the wrong album!"
I haven't been able to edit my list the last couple of days, so my list doesn't have an order to it.
But it has really been a blast going through the master list and choosing albums. I have lost 4 hard drives since I began reading Pitchfork and this has served as a great reminder of some of the albums I used to love and haven't given much thought to in a while.
building a list now, this is so much fun. looking over the lists is helping me remember a bunch of albums I adore but haven't listened to in a while. definitely hoping to find some new favorites as well!

I didn't make a list because I figured 100 was too much, and I wouldn't be able to give the 90's and early 2000's a fair shake since I was like, 10.
But then I go see Sang's bottom half of the list and there's a solid block that's just the 10 mogwai/godspeed/eits albums in a row and I feel like I probably took it too seriously.

I meant to make one, but I've been so busy the last two weeks that I didn't get a chance to. The lists that have been posted are really interesting and I really can't wait to see what the results are. $5 says that OK Computer tops it.

So on the staff list between the first 11 people listed there is a single vote for a MMJ album (Z).
Those people are idiots
I think you're being a little facetious, but this is an unfair criticism.
I assume a lot of these lists are personal, albums that hit hard, soundtracked a window of time in the past. Depending on how big that window is, the higher or lower the rating. You can't fault somebody for having different windows than yours. Especially when the site has written extremely positive coverage of the band in the past.
Obviously I'm being a bit facetious, but it does blow my mind that there is a single vote in there for It Still Moves.
I'm not surprised at all though, I wouldn't expect Pitchfork writers to consider any MMJ album one of their favorites. My Morning Jacket is far to simple. Different tastes i guess.
Have you actually read that? I picked it up a few years ago. Maybe it was my expectations or something but I didn't think it was very good. I think I was expecting something more based on the History and cultural importance of American Music. It was basically a travel diary. There are a few good interviews though. Also despite the name I think she mentioned MMJ once in the whole thing and briefly at that.
P.S. Until now I had no idea she was connected to Pitchfork

I have not, haven't heard anything great about it.
I just posted it to show the band is a part of Pitchfork's cannon and that their exclusion from the lists of their writer's doesn't keep the rest of the lists from being valid.
