It is actually better than I expected it would be. Some of the commentary and such is goofy, but (as far as we can tell) they really do just throw two people out in the wilderness and see if they can survive.
BTW, that version of Romeo and Juliet is pretty ridiculous -- not necessarily in a bad way. haha.

hey now, don't hate on my R + J! that movie came out when I was in high school (you were probably in kindergarten, don't tell me ), so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Claire Danes with the wings, Leo D. quoting Shakespeare, a soundtrack with songs by my fave bands, it was a teenage girl's idea of paradise.
I watched it a few months ago. When Exit Music (For A Film) started up, my mind was blown. I never knew that song was written for that movie. Oops.
I rented it on VHS shortly after it was released on video. The tape hadn't been rewound, so the first thing i heard was Radiohead (pretty sure it was before O.K. computer was released, or am i remembering that wrong). It was a great moment, and for me the movie didn't live up to the credits. But that's from years ago, maybe my opinion would differ now.
"I disagree with the word p*ssy being used to describe a weak person. Because the vagina is the tougher of the two genitals... Balls are the weakest part of it."
ha! no nightmares. if this was a movie i had seen when i was a child, it would have scared the shiz out of me but now it seems almost laughable. kind of like when i watched freddy krueger for the first time since the early 90's. those movies gave me bad dreams for years but seemed so hokey upon reviewing.

It seems you can find pretty much every single episode of MST3K on YouTube, which makes life just that much sweeter. Last night was a return to a classic... Mmmmmmmmmmitchell!
So it's good? After finishing The Wire I figured I'd add every single show he's ever made. After this one I'm going to start on The Corner and then Treme.

I enjoyed it. It is quite different from The Wire. It is all based off a book written by a reporter who was embedded with the Marines during the invasion of Iraq. It is worth it just for the character played by the guy who was Ziggy in The Wire.
