To add to the latest conversation, how many of y'all were actually surprised he was a fraud?
I was tired of getting him jamed damn my throat all season with how supposedly good he was, but he was nowhere near the level of talent of say Clowney or Jarvis Jones, or even Alec Ogletree.
However I did believe the story. Didn`t really care, just took it for face value.

How much is the media to blame? Does anybody check sources or do any research, maybe try to contact her family? Invite them to a game? And who is more to blame, media or Norte Dame?

You are right, at this point all they knew is what he told them. It is funny though, All this Notre Dame is back, and ND this and ND that and now this black mark on what was driving the resurgence of ND into the football world conversation. Nice 1! The Universe is funny, What a joke.

Its kind of funny that this came out just a few days after Manti`s father black listed a local newspaper that they had done interviews with on numerous occasions.
Yea this whole deal is just bizarre. An interesting story, of course, but, damn, when ESPN is getting the "expertise" of the dude from "Catfish?" Come on, bro.
It's not worth watching ESPN with any regularity anymore. I just wish there was another place to watch highlights without the celebrity worship and overdone "expert" opinion.
