Hopefully they pushed it back a week to accommodate a major act like the stones our macca. Probably got pushed back because the Warrant cover band couldn't make it the week before.

Also at this point, I doubt either would be as big of a draw to a 4 day camping festival in Tennessee than a major dj or newer alternative rock band headlining.

Disagree here, particularly wrt the Rolling Stones, but, whatever.

I like being home for Father's Day. But it's Roo. They could have it in August in Mogadishu, December in Juneau, or February at the bottom of the Marianas Trench and I'd do everything in my power to make it.
I am so happy right now. I watched the announcement video with my sister and literally started thrashing around on the couch in excitement when I saw those dates. Last November my friends announced their wedding date to me: June 8th 2013. I immediately thought of Bonnaroo and began thinking of how I could slink out of the wedding. But I'm expected to be in it and I've known the groom my entire life. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore. These dates pretty much made my year. I'll see y'all out there in 2013 for my fourth Roo!
"In the darkness hundreds of glowsticks streaked the air like tracer shots in war. Giant inflatables bounced over dozens of light sabers pointed skyward. Stuffed animals impaled on sticks danced above the hot crowds, puppeted by someone just given ecstasy by a friend made seconds before."

Boo. That makes Roo the weekend before Glasto trip for me... Odds are this will be the first Roo I miss since '07. Decisions will be made at lineup time I suppose.

I just think Coachella has proven a more "modern" headliner set ends up being more successful for the festival.

Nothing changes for me. I will be there, hell I have even had people offer to make me a dang peg-leg if my leg is not better. Got admire that dedication so count me in
