Nah. Just giving the potential time frame. Moving it into August wouldn't give them a lot of time to promote the fest if they announce at the end of this month. They'd have to push the lineup announcement to March and have everyone announced at least by the middle of June. Plus it's hot as Satan in August (though that hasn't slowed down Hangout, cause it's hot as shiz in May).

Maybe only having two days will be good. Especially if they decide to keep the same budget that they had to get artists. I'd take all the money I would have dished out for Sunday, grab the two biggest names I can get my hands on for headliners, and use the leftovers to buff up the bottom half of the lineup.

Truly a sad day when any fest goes under, but this one was one of the better ones.
Yeah...I was already saving up cash for early birds. Last year was so much fun (for General Admission at least). I guess this will make it easier for me to plan for Counterpoint (or TomorrowWorld) instead.
To be honest, McGuire's beer is subpar. Their food is what I really go for. If I lived in p'cola, I would be eating there once a week. Yeah, we got harassed by a bunch of christians hard when we left the fest friday night. caddyshaq yelled "Hail Saban!" at them.
I don't go to mcguires for the food, I go for the beer. The prime rib in Sexton is pretty good, but if you're going in for anything except pub fare, you won't be happy.
Deluna last year was a good show and weekend. Very commercial, but I loved some of the acts. Most of the best shows I saw were not even on the main stage. Band of skulls, Florence and the machine were awesome live.
I hope its back for year 4, I went the first year, and last year. Second year lineup wasn't that good. Its all about the bands really at deluna

Are you f'n kidding me? Their burgers are the best anywhere around here. The steaks are incredible. They use the steak trimmings to make the burgers. Get a burger medium well with smoked gouda and black olives...flavor town. The beer used to be great, then someone else took over and it went to shiz. It has gotten way better since then. I haven't been there in a while so maybe it is back on par with what it used to be. I've never been disappointed with the food though. Maybe you should stop being a diick to your server. :P

And the burgers are pub fare.
As I said, if you're going for anything other then pub fare, you'll be disappointed.
Problem at Mcguires is that its on the coast so folks are expecting great sea food. They don't have great seafood.
The burgers are OK, tucker dukes lunch box in Niceville has the best burgers in the region. I mentioned the prime rib is good. I'm friends with the wait staff and the brewers, so I don't think that's the problem.
Santa Rosa Island Authority released its 2013 calendar of events today. And there’s one glaring omission.
The fourth installment of the three-day DeLuna Fest, typically slated for September or October, is not on the list.
But DeLuna Fest promoter Scott Mitchell, with Five Flags Tourism Group, played down the omission and said he is not ready to commit to dates just yet.
“It’s still in the works,” he said about the Gulf-front music festival that last year featured Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Florence and the Machine and more than 60 other acts.
Mitchell said he’s working on finalizing plans and selecting dates, and when he does, he’ll notify the Island Authority first before announcing anything publicly.

The fest is not happening. He's buying time to find someone to sell the name off to. They're really in debt. There's a better chance of having another Orlando Calling at this point. Thar's how confident I am.

really hope it happens again and crossing my fingers.
the ernie burger at mcgoo's is the best burger on the planet, period. steak and mushroom pie is the most underrated item on the menu. for lunch, the meatloaf, pot roast and fish n chips are awesome lunch specials.

I think that makes sense. There just hasn't been enough people there over the last three years to warrant the headliners on a three day concert. Its a shame really, but its just the sad reality of the Florida Panhandle. And then having it right there at the same time as Bayfest doesn't help it.

Deluna Fest Organizers of DeLuna Fest regret to announce that the festival will be on hiatus for 2013. After debuting in 2010 and producing three consecutive fall festivals, festival promoters feel that moving the event to a different time of year will help ensure the long-term success of DeLuna Fest. Supporters of the festival are hard at work with planning and organizing the next event, and are looking forward to making an announcement in the near future about DeLuna Fest 2014. Festival organizers would like to thank fans and attendees for their continued support.
