Chicago is SO mad at Miami. From Kirk Hinrich tackling Lebron in the regular season, to Joakim Noah getting upset all the time, to the shove on Lebron in game 3 that led to an ejection. Miami should be slaughtering these guys. I'll take a 2-1 series lead and hopefully they'll have enough to repeat as champions.
That being said, the special treatment the Heat get in both the officiating and media representation of this series is laughable.
Miami is without a doubt crossing the line more often. Anderson turned into mid-90's Charles Oakley, which is all well and good if you're a fan of physical ball the way I am, but you can't f*cking T-up one team and toss players and whatnot and not do it to the other team. The officials are commanding zero respect right now and they're going to probably become the most overbearing refs in recent memory in Game 4 to assert their authority again.
My hope is the Knicks win a tough, but respectful series and face the Heat after they are in literal fist-fights for the next 3 games (I predicted Heat in 6). Beat the piss out of each other, I don't care, but call the game evenly.
Knick Homer Angry Mini-Rant
If Melo doesn't start getting foul calls I'm going to cut Joey Crawford's brake lines.
are serious nazr shoved lebron to the ground after fouling him 40 ft away from the basket? noah gibson boozer are all playing thug ball miami retaliates with birdman and battier to an extent but bulls have been way more thug

THIS all the way! I was so mad when Chicago "beat" Miami to end the streak at 27 games. The refs gave that game to Chicago and in the playoffs, the Bulls are instigating a lot of this.
It's not about the instigation calls so much as it's about not allowing a team to get back in the game when they're working their ass off. The Bulls were continuously finding ways to get back into game 3, and when crunch time occurred, the refs made sure that the game never got too close through micro-officiating the whole thing. Yes, the Bulls have been physical. Yes, they have deserved some of these ejections (Noah and Taj wanted to be ejected, and please spare me the Nazr shove. If Lebron really thinks that anyone's capable of shoving him that far away he's a liar). But, the officiating in meaningful spots in the games has been clearly against the Bulls favor.
I understand there's 'Lebron rules' just as there were 'Jordan rules,' but does it really need to go for the entire Heat roster? I think not.
I'm diggin all the bulls love in here. Noah's a beast and you heat fans are just crying because the "big three" are facing their stiffest competition yet, in a team that's missing their only superstar, and two impact starters. Not to mention we stopped your history making run. If the officials call that last game correctly, it's a lot closer and a possible win.

I'm pretty indifferent towards LeBron as a fan, but I don't really get the vitriol about the flop. Basketball players flop constantly when they're barely contacted; it was a smart move by him.

Agreed, and agreed. But if Heat fans are going to complain about it, come on.
So our All Defensive first team has two centers, and neither of them are DPOY Marc Gasol. Not only that but it wasn't close, with Chandler and Noah both getting twice as many points from the voting as Gasol did. It has happened before when the coaches voted Dwight Howard to the 1st team instead of Chandler the year he won the DPOY. Despite the precedent, this kind of turnout boggles my mind.
To me, this raises the question of which honor is more important: Would you prefer to be seen as a better player to the media who votes for DPOY, or to the coaches who decide the All NBA teams?
just imagine.... anyone who witnessed the '11 series finals at 'roo will never forget the chants all night of "f*ck lebron!" & "f*ck the heat!" as dirk reigned terror on miami. it was pure disdain. i cannot imagine how intense it will be if memphis plays miami, during 'roo! grit vs glamor... this....this is what i want. p.s. i saw lebron play against miami, in miami, with wade, shaq and mourning to boot. sunday game, nationally televised. that place was half empty. literally. you wanna know how to become a miami heat fan? just climb on the bandwagon!

Go Heat! Our fans may be classless but The Heat have class on and off the court, including our coach. Every other coach you see on tv is biznatching and crying the whole time. Be professionals. I'm looking at you Bulls! You guys act like babies, you lose like babies.
I understand why everyone hates us, it's because we're better than all of you, get over it. Hate on biznatches.
Before you make your assumptions I'm not a bandwagon fan although there are a ton of them now. I've lived here my whole life and have always been a home town fan. Win or Lose. How's your team doing?
Being from the east coast i was pretty furious sunday when the Warriors Spurs game was not on. It was bullshit!! I understand these two teams don't have big markets but it is the freaking playoffs. I wanted to watch Curry and Thompson rain threes. Plus it was an awesome game. I can't believe that. My friends and i were discussing how furious the NBA would be if the finals were something like Indiana vs Golden State. They'd probably refuse to air them because they aren't big markets. God i hope this happens.

Golden State is in the 7th largest market and has a boatload of casual bandwagon fans (myself included, but I used to really like Washington State so I love like Klay Thompson and I'll always love Bogut, but anyway). Also, I know they were on ABC here on Sunday...it wasn't national T.V.?

i couldn't find it on in Jersey, and i'm right outside of philly. That's interesting i didn't know they had the 7th biggest market. Schooled hard haha. But yeah i couldn't find it anywhere and my friend said the same thing.
Are you looking for a relative answer here? I'd say the Bulls are doing pretty damn good, showing their fan base nothing but the utmost respect in playing out these playoffs. They've found a valuable 2 guard in Jimmy Butler, and if they amnesty Boozer (as they should) then a starting five next year of Rose, Butler, Deng, Gibson (If you're feeling lucky, throw Love in here), Noah looks pretty damn good. So yeah, all in all pretty awesome.

No, it's because it's a slapdash franchise with no real history and nothing but white-shirted fairweather fans who managed to stumble into a title when Shaq was ousted by Kobe and another when the greatest player of his generation decided to take the easy route to a championship by joining one of his biggest rivals rather than trying to best him. Also because the fans tend to exhibit exactly the attitude you did here.

Agreed with everything else but I really hate when people say this. LeBron was worth probably 30-40 wins with that Cavs team a few years ago and wasn't going to win a title. Look at OKC without Westbrook. Durant is EASILY the 2nd best player in the NBA, has been lights out for the most part in the playoffs, and yet OKC is 3-5 against the 8th and 4th best teams in the West without Westbrook. What dominant player has ever won a title without at least one really really good teammate?

The Chicago Bulls are a bunch of classless losers. Cursing out a referee and getting ejected and fined because you can't control your little temper? Really? Coach getting fined 35K for trash talking the refs. Real class. It's no secret that SOME Miami fans are classless but you are lumping a small minority with everyone who lives here. You're ignorant and clueless about anything, Homer. Our team is so good that you have to bash the fanbase, haha you are truly pathetic. Now go cry in the corner while the Heat continue to whoop that ass.

If you can't beat us. Bash our fans. Typical. I say you're ignorant because you obviously never been inside our Arena. These idiots they show on tv, I've never actually seen them. You're the type of person that believes everything you see on tv. If you're going to dish out shit, expect some in return.
I became a Heat fan about an hour after The Decision. That does not make me a bandwagon fan, in my opinion, because I've been a Lebron fan since he was in high school. Lebron is only a few months older than I am, and when he was getting all of his high school senior hype, I was also a high school senior. I've followed him ever sense. I was a Cavalier fan for all seven years he was there. I had hardly watched the NBA at all since Jordan retired until Lebron came around. I stuck by him for season after season of progress with the Cavs. There was the unbelievable comeback wins against Detroit to make it to the NBA Finals. There was the season that he lead the Cavs to the best regular season record in the NBA with a team that did the opposite the next year without him. And when he decided to leave for Miami, there was about an hour where I didn't know how to feel. I was unsure whether to be disappointed, or excited that he finally would have a real shot at winning that title. It's been great being a Heat fan. Last post season was incredible. Being down in the Celtics series, I was sure this was just another year of getting so close and not quite making it. And then the great series against the Thunder, capped off with absolute elation by Lebron as the final seconds ticked down. I think it would be fun for them to be pushed a little harder this year, but I can also be happy with them easily winning another championship.

Uh...yeah it does. You didn't start rooting for them until they were good again (when they signed LeBron).
