The hate wagon is no better than the band wagon, in my opinion. That goes for all sports.
Disagree, there is nothing worse than the bandwagon in sports. It shows you have no loyalty, and don't have the heart to get through the tough times. Speaks to ones personality. And everyone needs a team to hate (I use that term loosely as I'm not a hateful person) in every sport. Keeps things interesting, especially when your teams out of the race.

I'm not saying you can't have rivals or a team to hate. I just think it can be, somewhat, ridiculous how some teams become vilified in sports for no legitimate reason.
I'm excited to see LeBron try to get revenge against the Spurs for shutting him out in his first ever Finals, but I'm going to miss seeing the Heat get in some almost real fights. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't picture the Spurs being overly aggressive in their old age

There are a few reasons. The main one being, if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Lebron will never in my eyes, be able to be compared to MJ for that reason. MJ would have never dreamt of joining Malone, Barkley, Stockton, Peyton, Ewing, Mourning, ect. Because he had too much pride, and loved beating them. There's a reason the aforementioned players never won a championship in the 90's. That reason, MJ. Also the era MJ played in was much more physical, and fouls were not called nearly as much as today. Lebron also spends as much time flailing around trying to get a call, as he does playing actual basketball. Plus, have you ever seen that fan base? Lol

Lol! There are few that are alright. I didn't mean to generalize toooo much I'm sure you're one of the good ones
My thing with Heat fans is, aslong as they remember who Alonzo and Tim Hardaway were, they're good in my book. Sadly though that's probably like 25% of them.

God I wish we had Zo at C and tim at PG right now. I am not a fan of Bosh. I like to think that when Alonzo is sitting their with the team he is just picking apart Bosh's game. Alonzo does alot of great charities for the children in the community down here as well.

I just think that line of thinking is flawed. Jordan didn't have to leave because Chicago brought in a quality partner for him. I'll never argue against MJ's competitive spirit being matched, but to say Lebron can't be compared to one of the best players ever (obviously depending on what happens over the next 10 years) because he teamed up with an aging and constantly hobbled DWade? That's just dumb. All you have to do is watch him play to know that argument holds no weight.
The officiating argument is a two way street, as well. More calls for push-offs and charge in today's game. And the physical play didn't impact Jordan as much because he didn't play inside.

he didn't team up with Wade because he was beat up an hobbled lmao. You're also forgetting Bosch, and Allen. And MJ didn't play in the middle but he came through it A LOT. Go watch some old film. He took elbows to the ribs, shoulders, ect, with no calls. The proofs in the pudding. Your rebuttle is nonsensical. But our opinions differ and I don't think that is going to change, but I'm ok with that. All I can think about is the wonderful world of Roo coming up in seven days.

Moving on...
Predictions for the series?
I'll say Heat in 6.
Spurs have some size inside, but not physical big men like the Pacers, which gave the Heat trouble. Parker should be the go-to with Chalmers guarding him, but I don't think it'll be enough.

As much as I hate saying this, I think Heat in 6. This is assuming that Bosh and Wade play like they did in game 7 against the Pacers and not like the little b****es they were before, cryin' cause Lebron didn't pass them the ball enough, otherwise I'd say Spurs in 6. Also, Bosh can never gloat or pound his chest after making a basket again after averaging 7 freakin' points in an NBA playoff series.
I hate both of these teams so this is a tough choice for me. My hatred is slightly less for the Spurs. I'll go with Spurs in 7. Tonight is huge for them. It's the age old question of whether they'll come out rusty or rested with their long lay-off.
If their wiki page is to be believed, it looks like the Spurs have won every year Timmy took them to the finals. I would love to see them get another one and cement their legacy. You would also have a pretty good argument that Duncan is the best player of his generation instead of Kobe.
It's hard to pick against the Heat though. Miami in seven is my guess.

How is it possible to hate the Spurs? They're probably the most well-run organization in all of the major professional sports since the late 90's.
