I hated Timmy D for a while because he just dumped all over the Knicks in the '00 finals. But once that sting subsided he quickly became one of my two favorite players. The guy is just unreal. He'll do dirty work for 25 minutes and those other 15 minutes he would just destroy everything and everyone, end up with a 20/10 and 4 blocks and strut into the locker room knowing he's the best basketball player alive. And he was, for a long time.
With the Knicks looking like they're about to roll over and take it in Game 5, I'm dusting off the old Duncan/Chaps jersey for the rest of the playoffs.
My favorite part of TNT's basketball coverage? Rachel Nichols. She can cover news on my favorite ball game anytime.
I picked the Pacers to win this series, but I don't think the Knicks drop this one at home. Carmelo is built for high pressure games like this and I imagine the Garden will be rocking considering this might be the last home game of the year. On top of that, George Hill's concussion probably means DJ Augustin will be the Pacer's starting PG. As a Bobcats fan with plenty of experience with that sad situation, I can assure you that's the worst possible thing for your squad. I'm predicting NY takes this one and lives on to lose in Indiana.

Funny story no idea if its true but a friend or a friend (hence who knows if its true) was set up to interview DWade a few years ago(pre Lebron) in his hotel room. When the guy went in, Rachel was in a robe making breakfast and offered him pancakes. She went in the bedroom I guess to get changed and leave when the guy asked Wade "Is that Rachel Nichols?" To which he replied with a smirk in her typical sign off "Rachel Nichols...ESPN"
Now that is some investigative journalism! Wikipedia says she got married when D Wade was in college though. I guess it's not uncommon to sleep around with people to get the inside scoop. Hell even Katie Holmes was willing to sleep with Twoface for a story one time, and she was married to Jerry Maguire at the time!
I suppose this means Rachel is (allegedly) in the pro-pancakes camp. I would have taken her for a waffles kind of girl.

Maybe the "interesting teams" should be better at their profession. The NBA didn't get rid of them. They got rid of themselves by sucking at basketball.

Been a Heat fan since way before Lebron James and I will be a Heat fan long after he's gone. I've been watching them since I was 10 years old so try again. How's your home team doing?

I like watching the Grizzlies, I expect them to meet the Heat in the finals. They will probably steal a couple games because of their size inside, but ultimately bow out in 6 games.
I was enjoying watching Golden State play, but the Spurs are better all around, Curry and Thompson weren't going to shoot them all the way through the playoffs.

Okay, who is the worst contract the Heat have ever given out. There is only one right answer for this.
Rachel Nichols is hideous. Though she absolutely gives off the "I sleep with players" vibe for some reason.
Also, I'd like to thank the NBA for getting rid of all the even remotely interesting teams. The Grizzlies are kind of cool, I guess, but other than that it's literally the most yawn-inducing final four you could hope for. Spurs? Old yawn. Heat? Inevitable yawn. Grizzlies? Nobody cares yawn. Knicks? Hate yawn. Pacers? Oh my f*cking go-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz yawn.
Boo hoo...why couldn't David Stern help my team get to the Finals?

I actually enjoy defensive, team basketball more than "exciting" basketball.

Mike Miller?
I know that it would have been the $100M 7-year deal they gave to Juwan Howard that got voided. Riley complained that the NBA was out to get him, but it was blessing in disguise and we got stuck with an even crappier Howard deal up here.
According to CBS Sports the Charlotte Bobcats are officially in the process of bringing the Hornets name back to Charlotte. Can't wait for The Hive to be back in Charlotte. Been waiting for this for a while
haha. ^ I loved that team. I just hope New Orleans becomes the Krewe and not the Pelicans.
I think The Pelicans is official now. I could care less about them though. I am just glad we finally got the Hornets back in Charlotte. The change probably will not happen until the 2014-2015 season, but it is nice to know they are officially in the process.
The Spurs/Grizz series will be an old-school 90's era inside-out series. I'm personally looking forward to Timmy D's last stand against the best front court duo in the NBA.

I'll take players named Brian Grant for $500, Alex.
