Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo in 2013!!
I have been tirelessly scouring several artist pages the subject of which will appear in another thread and the reason behind it. But anyway while looking around on Stevie Nicks page (and an Alumni of Roo if you were there for Tom Petty like this crusty old coot though the definition of crusty looses all negative connotations if you consider I was there for Petty that year and at Roo This year I have seen Radiohead twice on the farm and that actually automatically transfers me into the over aged hipster category) that would be an awesome classic rock act to get in my opinion. If not meh I do know a lot would be happy with this idea along with the naysayers of it. Anyway outing it up on the radar for everyone and I defienently think that Capps would consider this if he could.

I got to see them in New Haven 33 years ago in that version of the group's prime so I really have no desire to see them now. Still bummed I never got to see the Peter Green version.
That is the most recent news, and they've been trying to do this since 2009 via this and other articles. So finally releasing multiple statements makes it very likely they will tour this year.
I called them being at Roo 2013 when I first heard this. Would most likely be in the Plant/Band of Joy -- Beach Boys afternoon slot for Sunday. Unless they threw a fit for a Fri or Sat night slot.

Fleetwood Mac will return to the road in 2013 for the first time in three years. The North American leg of their world tour commences in Columbus, OH on April 4th and runs through mid-June. The band then plans to head to Europe and Australia.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Lindsey Buckingham said the setlist will comprise mostly of greatest hits, though the band will show some love to the “under-explored” portion of their catalog. “Maybe we’ll play more songs from Tusk. I’d also like to see an extended middle portion of the show that’s just me and Stevie [Nicks]. This is just me talking from the top of my head,” Buckingham explained.
Meanwhile, Nicks revealed that she and Buckingham recently cut two new songs, which they also may perform on the tour.
Check out the full docket below, and stay tuned for additional touring news. Maybe we’ll even hear something about a Bonnaroo appearance.

Fleetwood Mac is an early headliner. Like MMJ in 2011 or Stevie Wonder in 2010. They don't have the youth appeal to close out the What Stage for a night but they are huge and their crowd would be equally huge.

It isn't about youth appeal - if anything, that's a knock against bands that have it in this discussion - it's about clout. Fleetwood Mac have clout, of both the star and record sales variety, and they will be a What Stage closer if they play.

What about the whole "Beach Boys have sold more albums than Fleetwood Mac (by a lot) and played the What Stage on Sunday and didn't headline" thing?
I tend to feel like they would be a preheadliner, though I wouldn't be shocked if they were an "early headliner" instead. I would put them on par with the Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield or Allman Bros. Maybe I'm wrong and at the end of the day it's who SuperFly/AC considers a headliner that determines the answer but I don't think that they're a slam-dunk for it.

FM can't headline Bonnaroo. They can't. I don't even see how it deserves a discussion. If they do headline, then that "Is Bonnaroo Still in the Top 3" thread suddenly becomes a lot more legitimate.

Get these "facts" out of here. They have no place in Troo.
As I remember, both Buffalo Springfield and the Beach Boys were " pick-ups" to the line-up. They were not booked very far in advance of the line-up being dropped.
Fleetwood Mac is on the Bruce Springstien & E-Street Band tier status, and they headlined bonnaroo ... so will Fleetwood Mac
"In the darkness hundreds of glowsticks streaked the air like tracer shots in war. Giant inflatables bounced over dozens of light sabers pointed skyward. Stuffed animals impaled on sticks danced above the hot crowds, puppeted by someone just given ecstasy by a friend made seconds before."
The only thing ridiculous is trying to compare bands. The Bruce fans, RHCP fans, Tom Petty fans, ect... like Bruce, RHCP, and Tom Petty. If we would just make our statement s as opinions instead of absolutes we would be better served. I have seen Fleetwood Mac live. As a person who has seen a lot of live music, like the rest of you, they blew me away. Especially Buckingham. I really could care less if they headline or not. I would just like to see them there, period. Can't wait for the Philly and DC shows.
Yet it is in this loneliness that the deepest activities begin. It is here that you discover act without motion, labor that is profound repose, vision in obscurity, and, beyond all desire, a fulfillment whose limits extend to infinity.
