All I'm saying is they appear to be out for coach and the article referenced "other offers". Just figured I'd share something interesting that had yet to be shared.

Since you're apparently planning to post this in every thread do you want me to help you so that we can get it over with already?

It just seems that with The Stones only playing a handful of shows on a 50th anniversary tour that they would be too expensive for any festival to book without diminishing the overall lineup.

Sorry, wasn't sure which one to hit,so I did the 3 that seemed applicable. Didn't mean to be overbearing.
I kind of wonder that if a band at that level really cares about the money end of it. I mean even if they played Bonnaroo for free, its not like they are going on food stamps because of it. I would think it would be more about where they WANT to play.

What did $1500 get you? A piece of Keith Richards liver when he dies??? That thing will probably be a solid diamond when he dies with all the pressure he has put on it in the last 50 years.

They are concerned enough about money that talks broke down with Coachella over it.
They really are quite an operation and from reading Keith Richards' autobiography it sounds like it's incredibly expensive for them to tour the way they do. I think that it may be too late for these old dogs to change their ways and just hop on stage with no production and do it on the cheap.
Willie Nelson: Thank you for writing. I'm not sure if Bonnaroo is booked as of now. Keep checking the tour schedule at www.willienelson.com for the latest tour dates and locations. We hope you can make it to a show soon!

Keith's nightly drug bill alone eats up about 1/3 of their take. Then there is the ongoing cost of replacing the embalming fluid that keeps him from decomposing. But the biggest factor in ticket pricing is that airlines have begun charging for baggage and Mick's ego alone takes up 8 suitcases. That gets expensive at $50 a bag.

The Stones would rock Bonnaroo, looking at their current set lists, it could be the best show to hit Roo ever.

You're totally right, who are these Passion Pit, Pretty Lights, Cat Power, Grizzly Bear, The xx, Janelle Monae fools? Obviously Thursday bands.
Re read smarty pants, I was refering to the 59 bands (minus DG, JW, and a couple others) that wont be there
I took it the same way as Katy as well. But now I know what you mean. Part of the fun of Roo is discovering new bands. I think I'll have less discovery this year though than last.
