Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Ok, take this Convo else where. There's already too much clutter on this page. Not trying to be rude. But this whole thread is a mess now from all the off topic endless pages of nonsense
The topic of this thread isn't about how we are off topic either. So, your post is off topic as well. Not trying to be rude, but this thread is now a mess because of posts like these.
I also made a playlist on Spotify, it has the exact same title. I have one from last year titled ROO 2012 as well. I just wanted to put that out there to avoid any confusion, not trying to copy you.

No worries at all, I made it just for myself originally, but figured I'd offer it to inforoo so others didn't have to go to the trouble.
The more, the better, because at the end of the day, its about the music.

It's a good thing this thread is off-topic, because otherwise it'd just be dead!
Since this thread in years past had started as the Artist Direct Confirmation
[/u] thread we would like to go back to that. Get the confirmations from the bands themselves. Ideally you could get an answer at a concert/show or get them to respond on twitter or facebook. If they have a public e-mail address then go ahead and try that.
Stick with contacting artists. Please leave the bookers/managers and all that alone. We can't control what you do but from now on if your confirmation comes from that we won't use it. They're clearly annoyed by it and since we know SF/ACE are aware of this we don't want to piss off the wrong people. Also don't want to get anyone in trouble. Needs to come from the artists directly.
We appreciate the enthusiasm and effort of everyone who has contacted anyone in the past. It's been great but we'd like to take this thread back to what it originally was. It's more fun to get it from the band themselves anyway. Thanks everybody....back to your regularly scheduled program [/quote]
I let you take over the thread this year and look what happens...
Coupla things as one who works in the media world. Ethics: As individuals, you draw your own lines and choose who is fair game to contact. There is a broad difference between saying you're a pregnant woman trying to plan your last summer of freedom versus saying you're going to post the information to a public message board. It's not a far stretch to think that those two different scenarios can prompt different responses from the workers that get e-mailed.
Press passes: The only time I did this for Bonnaroo (2009), I worked for an outlet large enough to be granted a media pass and a photo pass. Both were wristbands, and both covered admission into centeroo and the press area. The photo pass, obviously, also granted admission to the photo pits at the stages in limited capacity (they take you there; you can only shoot two or three songs; sometimes you have to sign an agreement defining how you can publish the photos). Photo pit access in the tents depended on security. For instance, I watched Pretty Lights from inside the rail on a general media pass, but even photogs were limited to 8, with pool coverage, for MGMT because Springsteen and Drew Barrymore were backstage and it was packed back there. We camped GA, but some outlets get guest camping.
Confirmations: I can't even confirm that I will be there this year at this time. But, if I do, I will certainly make brunch for once.
First page is updated. Let me know if you think I missed any or if any links aren't working. Thanks
I can't imagine how much work that must've been so thank you! I didn't make it very clear in my original post but Cat Power is confirmed to be playing.
I'm honestly not sure if I'm allowed to be posting denials from emails already sent. I totally understand if the mods want to edit this following part of my message out.
In regards to Wavves:
I don't have a very good answer for you as we have not confirmed either of those festivals. If we happen to do that soon ill be sure to let you know.
In regards to Wild Beasts:
Thank you for your email. At the moment there are no plans to play any of the US festivals this year. The band are focussing on writing and recording their next album this year. Anything can change of course, so don't hold me to this! But I can safely say that right now, we have no plans I'm afraid.
In regards to Squarepusher:
I'm afraid we don't have formal confirmation for either of those festivals currently though we definitely are looking to come back to the States this year.
Of Monster and Men, Pretty Lights, Passion Pit, Grizzly Bear, Crystal Fighters, Atlas Genus...also think Trombone Shorty would be good live.
Honestly man, if I made an undercard wishlist 6 months ago, it would have looked similar to this. Going to be an unbelievable undercard. If I get even ONE headlining act that I really love (Prince or Pearl Jam) then this is going to be my favorite lineup by far. So damn good.
Tame Impala is my favorite confirmation thus far. Only got into them about a month ago, but Im pretty hooked. Can't wait to see them and I hope it's a LN set =)
