Highlights: They are still at the beginning of booking the festival. 30-35 more acts, at least, to be announced. Stuff aside from the music includes artist and music industry panels, interactive experiences and art installations. The idea of how each festival goer builds their own experience for the festival by the choices they make on activities and shows. Talk about the first Mountain Oasis 13 years ago. They have "a dozen" new concepts on events (outside of Roo/Mtn Oasis/Forecastle) that they have been throwing around ideas on. All current events will be back in 2014 plus "a couple" more.
From Facebook: We're hard at work on phase 2 of the Mountain Oasis booking & so excited about how that's coming together...it's looking like its own little festival! We need some more time before we can tell you about it, but once we're ready, we'll share the daily schedule & make a limited number of day tickets available, too. They'll start at $74.50 per day (plus service charges). Stay tuned!
Guess they are dropping the day by days with the additions.
So.....I hate to have a business start out with such a low start review out of the gate, but they did it to themselves.
A local band I adore was having their music associated with a dance performance that was going to take place in this theater. I went to the website to order tickets and noticed that a VIP set was available for more than double the price, yet no information. I looked around but could not find it......not to say it wasn't there, but I called the theater to inquired as they are hosting the event I would have assumed they were in control to all the types of activities conducted within their walls..........I was wrong.
The first person didn't know and transferred me to the next person that didn't know and rather deferred to the dance company? Needless to say I didn't by the more expensive tickets.......but did decided to review them in an appropriate way.*wink*.
So he's faulting the venue for not having ticket info for some random event that was held there? LOL. I shall write a 5 star review soon.

I'm guessing that will be the first show there on Saturday. Such an odd space for them to play. I would have figured The OP, as they played the Asheville Music Hall when they last performed there, right?

Agreed. At least it will be less likely that there's a brutal conflict with Bosnian Rainbows for you guys though and I definitely recommend seeing them. Their set being moved to conflict with BTBAM at FFF7 (due to their van breaking down) caused me to miss all of set except the last song, but they destroyed the last few pieces of my face that BTBAM left there during just that one song. Really hoping they get added to Voodoo.
