I would just like to say that it pleases me very much that most of you realize the awesomeness that is The Fragile. Bonus points for putting With Teeth last. Did anyone see them on Fragility 2.0 tour with A Perfect Circle opening? Definitely in my top 5 shows ever.

I was about to post mine then saw this list. I would flip #3 and #4 but otherwise my ranking is the same.
1. The Fragile 2. Still 3. Downward spiral 4. Further down the spiral 5. Broken 6. Pretty hate machine 7. With teeth 8. Year zero 9. Ghosts 10. The slip
3-6 are basically a tie for me.
I forgot about still. If that counts as an album, I rank it #3
"and all that could have been" is pretty much the saddest song ever written. Trent in his deepest hole of despair. I rarely listen to it because it brings me down, but it's such a beautiful song

Yeah, steller show for sure! I also got to meet maynard after the show, it was wild.
Me too! Maynard and Paz Lenchantin were just hanging out fairly close to their tour bus and people were just walking by without even recognizing him because he wasn't wearing the wig and she changed clothes. ha.

I wouldn't toss it into their studio albums like the ones that have mostly been mentioned, but I'd put it in with the live/remix/misc. releases over the years (of which there are many)... in that sense it would probably be in the top 3 of those, for me.

haha same here... It wasn't the tampa show by chance was it?

Saw this tour in Buffalo when it came around. Maynard was on another planet that night, I remember him introducing "Judith" as "Green Jello" and discussing how it was his birthday that night and it would be every night following for the rest of his life.
NIN on the other hand was quite amazing and you could clearly tell this was probably the low-point for Trent with his heroine addiciton because he was all over the place and the band was quite destructive. I'm pretty sure they went through at least 5 or 6 guitars and a couple keyboard rigs that night.

"And All That Could Have Been" is IMO the best song Trent has ever written. Right before they did the NINJA tour I remember him doing a Q&A with fans via webcam and he was asked if they woyuld ever play that song live; his response was something along the lines of youll hear "The Perfect Drug" live before you ever hear this song.
Yeah, that song is easily in my top 5 Trent songs ever. Sometimes he can just really hit the mark with incredible results on these pensive balladesque songs.

I'd love to see Trent do a stripped down tour where it was an acoustic/electronic driven show that focused on the softer, more ambient stuff he'd done. This would be the perfect setlist:
The Four of Us Are Dying Non-Entity (Hurricane Katrina Benefit version) La Mer The Great Below Ripe (With Decay) Gone, Still The Persistence of Loss Something I Can Never Have A Warm Place (Sister Soleil Remix) Leaving Hope Adrift & At Peace Right Where It Belongs (V2.0) Me, I'm Not Another Version of the Truth Zero Sum Corona Radiata And All That Could Have Been

Aggregate Inforoo rankings so far-
1. The Fragile 2. The Downward Spiral 3. Pretty Hate Machine 4. Broken 5. Year Zero 6. Ghosts 7. The Slip 8. With Teeth
Downloading The Fragile now because, confession time: I have only ever listened to Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral. Granted, Ive listened to them both ad nauseam, but the rest of the discography, and especially The Fragile, always seemed so daunting. 9 of the 11 people who have ranked have had it #1 though so obviously I've been missing out.

Thanks for turning me onto this song. I have been listening to it over and over this evening. Damn, so good.

No "hurt"?
No Hurt with special guest David Bowie?
EDIT: as an aside I started listening to Bowie because NIN toured with him. my adolescent self again thanks you Trent.

It's funny because when I first heard With Teeth, I was so disappointed in it but I kept listening to it and now it is probably the NIN album I listen to the most. I have grown to love that album. It isnt my favorite NIN album but I would probably put it in my Top 3 after Fragile and Pretty Hate Machine.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

I really disliked "with teeth" on first listen but it really grew on me as well. Trent has gone on to say with that album he was "too safe", and it shows. But theres a couple of gems on that album its not my favorite but I really like it
It's the only NIN album that has songs that I outright dislike... Sunspots, The Collector (though, in a live setting it's passable), Getting Smaller. I think Right Where It Belongs, Beside You In Time, and Only are the highlights of the album, I think.
