Hey just wondering if anyone has any links to some cheap rv rentals. I've done GA camping for the past 4 years. Looking to upgrade, but only at a reasonable price.
Any RV's in the middle TN area are already all sold out. You'd have to look in KY, AL, or GA. And there is no such thing as a cheap RV. expect to pay around 1,000-1,500 with a deposit and fuel/generator/water costs.
April 12-14th - Indio, CA - Coachella Weekend 1
May 3-5th - Memphis, TN - Beale St. Music Festival
June 13-16th - Manchester, TN - Bonnaroo
July 12-14th - Louisville, KY - Forecastle Festival
August 2-4th - Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza
September 27-29th - Atlanta, GA - TomorrowWorld
October 25-27th - Asheville, NC - Mountain Oasis

More than that even. Deposit+RV+RV Pass+Gas from out of state+2 water refill/dumps totaled over $3000 for a group of 9 in an RV that ended up only sleeping 8. But, if you get a big one and split it, you can see how it ends up being around 350 each. And that isn't so bad.
We've been looking at the same thing after 5 years of tent camping but the prices are killing me. If you're planning to drive from NYC the gas and the mileage allowance will be the killer. We've been looking at this site as well privatemotorhomerental.com the rates are a little less. We've also been looking at a tow behind but I don't think our vehicles could handle it. Good luck and let me know if you want some boarders
There is no cheap as the others have said. Best bet for least cost would be scour Craigslist for a pop-up or sub 20' travel trailer as most mid sized and above cars can pull it. Make sure all the fixtures and appliances work ahead of time, you dont wanna find out stuff is broken during setup Also make sure you have a proper tow bar on whatever auto is dragging it and if you buy one do not buy one of the two piece models...fully welded or nothing Best of luck!
I'm going to attempt to get a local rental by putting a rental wanted ad on Craigslist under the rvs for sale category and see if I get any bites.
We've RV'd all 5 years. Don't go with any of the National dealers, the contracts are horrible and they kill you with extras. I'd be leery of craigslist, as you never know the maintenance history of the vehicle. Find a good local dealership, build a relationship with them, and you'll be fine. Our rental cost has dropped 25% over the last 4 years renting from the same dealer. The rv is always meticulous, we've never been charged and extra fee for damage (although we baby it), and the only mechanical issue we've ever had was a awning motor last year. They reimbursed us for out of pocket expenses.

What kind of mileage do you put on your unit? One of our biggest costs would be overage on the mileage since were 600 miles each way
