They switched the time back, apparently. It's now 3 pm EST. Nothing new. They pulled this shiz last year too.
That's because Coachella has an exclusivity clause on being the first to announce Daft Punk playing and they're releasing the lineup at 1:00 p.m. today.

Really? The Cure was the biggest band they ever booked. I would think they cost a lot less than DP. They did switch sponsors this year. San Miguel is out and Hieneken is in. Maybe they will pony up more money.

I don't know, I have to imagine that Daft Punk has been offered millions and millions of dollars for gigs over the past 6 years. I get the feeling that they're the kind of act that will play when/where they feel like playing, and whether or not they get $1 million or $3 million doesn't really matter. For instance, I don't see them turning down $1 million from Primavera to take $4 million from Bamboozle, if that makes sense.

We did 8 days. The fest itself id 5 days but the first and last are opening and closing parties and not full days. We skipped the closing and wandered the city. It was damn near impossible to feel like you were in a time-warp. It ran from 4pm-6am. By the time we got back to the hotel it was close to 8 before we slept. Knocked out seeing any part of the city on the actual fest days.
I'm still amazed at how easy the transportation was to get around in. Way easier than any large city I've ever been to. Plus bikes could be rented for a Euro or two.
The tentative plan is to take this year off and do it next. If they do Optimus again, I'd like to do both.
And Jugs, don't get me wrong. I'd love to see DP anywhere. I've just given up all hope. I really think the headliners will be NY&CH/Bjork (makeup from last year)/Blur. That would be an amzing set of headliners for them.
EDIT: As I was typing that this popped up from Bjork's FB page:
unthinkable surprises about to happen but what they are it's not up to you

Just to bring us to reality. We're watching a webcast (some while at work) in a language most of us don't understand to get the line-up for a festival none of us are going to.
