Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Yes, because taking a piss on a building is equivocal to violently attacking other people on multiple occasions.
Jesus. What multiple occasions are you talking about, for the record?
ASAP has one arrest on his record, the one we're discussing. Unless the "brawl" you're referring to is when the crowd started attacking the ASAP crew at SXSW, which he wasn't arrested for. Getting hit with beer cans and responding to it isn't a negative, IMO.
And yeah, he threw a couple punches and beat up some nosey people who felt video taping someone smoking was a reasonable thing to do. I don't see why that means he shouldn't play Bonnaroo, if they held people out of the lineup because they'd been arrested, Roo would have an impossible time putting together a good lineup.
Per wiki:
"[AR] was scheduled to make his network television debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on July 20, but was arrested the night before after an alleged involvement in a brawl with 21 year old artist iRome, in downtown Manhattan and the performance was cancelled."
As for Macca, you'll note that my original comment was about the assault part, not the no-no part.
And no, I don't think he would "start beating people up," but I think of Bonnaroo as being a place with an overall positive vibe. When I think of ASAP Rocky as a person and as an artist, "positive vibe" is not the impression I get. Just my opinion and preference, as is yours.

What you're quoting is the same incident with the two people filming him smoking. It was misreported as him having a "fight" with a person they were filming. In reality they were filming a fight between ASAP and the guy that sued him.
And your "positive vibes" comment has no basis in reality. People made that argument when Metallica/Tool were at Roo, when they went with big hip-hop names, and so on. Every year someone complains about the "vibe" being ruined, and every year they are wrong.

Yeah, that set was about three years after Hetfield went on NPR and said he was embarrassed by how anger had affected him the past and how the combination of rehab and his family's influence had made him go "straight."

Great, that was one example, we can pull out plenty more. The point is, your narrow-minded way of looking at this is laughable.
If anything, having ASAP there is a good thing, he'll destroy video evidence of people partaking in certain activities they wouldn't want broadcast.
I think an ASAP Rocky Film Patrol team that went around the farm smacking cameras out of the hands of people irresponsibly taping/photographing others using....stuff....would be a fantastic idea. ASAP Mob does Roo the right way!

Fixed it for you. And your making felony larceny and assault into a punchline pretty much makes my point for me.

Aw, you're so cute. People that go to jail for "cuts and bruises" are doing so for attention or to sue. You don't need to go to a hospital because you got punched in the stomach.
To put it plainly - yes, I am saying those people milked their "injuries" to sue a notable up-and-coming artist.
I'm not saying what ASAP did was a good thing, or that I hope he does it all the time, but stop acting like he beat up his wife or kids, or had to enter rehab because he was a heroin addict. He was lighting up a spliff, some little idiots thought it was cute to tape him, and he flipped.

Wow nothing like watching the circle jerks on here close in for the kill, really not the prettiest part of inforoo. Remember though if you do not share their opinion you are just prey.

Hey jess, blow me.
Should I not say anything when someone is posting narrow-minded nonsense?
Kanye: I think it's safe to say that many people's positive vibe was diminished by Ye.
Dave Matthews: Really?
Metallica: See above
Hip-hop/rap/metal/EDM/[genre you dislike]: Too generalized to respond to
Bjork: That's pretty crazy. You'll note she's never been on the farm.
Please point to the part of that link that states ASAP Rocky fired a gun or was involved in the fight, because I sure don't see it.
Kanye - You skipped the bigger portion of my comment (the "pop"). Yes, Kanye killed some chill, but he didn't ruin Bonnaroo.
DMB - Yes, really.
Metallica - I saw what you wrote, that didn't stop people from making similar "ZOMG THE VIBES! THE VIIIIIIIIIIIIBES!!!!" comments when they were put on the lineup.
"Hip-hop/rap/metal/EDM/[genre you dislike]: Too generalized to respond to"
No, you can respond to it by saying "yes, my comment about ASAP was just as pointless as the comments made by people about those genre's, both generally and specifically." But you won't, whatever.
Bjork - She's there this year. The guessing game for her is done, consider her confirmed. Should they ban her as well?
