Sorry I disappeared guys. My hotel wanted to charge ten bucks for wifi and I have VERY little data on my phone so I didn't touch the internet all weekend. I'm shocked no one recognized Nessie though. I tried to get ahold of Jim at Ride on Sunday but I clearly didn't succeed. I really wanted to meet everyone. But I guess I'll have to wait for Roo. I'll be sure to message most of y'all so I can text/call on the farm

What was everybody favorite moment *music related* of the weekend? Mine had to be at Terminal West during Spiritualized when they played Come Together. I look up from getting my face melted to see Dave Maynar rocking out and have Son of a Beek saying "this is fucking awesome". Everything was right with the world.

Druid actually had a conversation about how, if we could pick anyone out of a crowd without really knowing what they look like, it would be you.
1. Tame Impala - Bonnaroo '13 is one of my favorite shows of all time and they have only gotten better. The ceiling on these guys is incredible and the new songs were great live. 2. Viet Cong - Most anticipated show of the weekend and they delivered! March of Progress is one of my favorite songs of the year and I felt like that was the turning point for the show. They destroyed it and they are a must see band. 3. Mac Demarco - These guys are always so great live and hilarious. I haven't seen them since the new album came out and I loved hearing all those songs live. Mac makes great subtle vocal changes when he plays live and I enjoy it. That cover of Yellow was a highlight of the weekend. 4. Tennis - Loved finally getting to see this band with my fiancé who is a huge fan. They were great live and played a really solid set. 5. Wilco - First time seeing Wilco (every chance the last few years has fell through) and they were great. Loved that solo in Impossible Germany. 6. Mountain Goats - Cubs in Five haha never thought I'd get to hear that one. 7. Preservation Hall Jazz Band - Always love seeing a great change of pace band. They were having fun and really brought the energy on that hot afternoon. 8. Ryan Adams - Mother 9. Strokes - Really great setlist and thought the crowd was great. Exactly what I thought the show would be like. 10. Spiritualized - Only saw half of the show, but they brought it.
Panda Bear really suffered from the afternoon timeslot. I just never could get into it even though he sounded great. Worst NMH show I have seen. Their show at Merge 25 was so special to me and really wish I wouldn't have seen them this weekend because it kind of ruined that amazing live memory I will have of them. Voice was off, band was sloppier than usual, and highs were not nearly as high.

The only problem now is that whatever Shaky Knees releases as a line up next year, can't possibly stack up to this year, but if it's half as good I'll get VIP.

1. Cleanest portos in the biz. 2. Park was pretty ideal in terms of setup. Football field for second biggest stage and baseball field for main stage. Tent was nice and placed perfectly. 3. No bleed anywhere really. The back and forth setup was perfect for me. 4. You could hear what was going on from very far away no matter where you were. Mostly due to non-competition, but most stages sounded great all weekend. (I thought TV on the Radio sounded off for a while but that was the only one for me). 5. Like Dave Mayner said, more food. 6. Some of the bands started sounding the same to me by the end of the weekend. Some of the midday grass rock stuff tended to run together for me. 7. Crowd was great. Everyone seemed to be on the same page musically, which is very different from most fests I attend. This might be the best part about this fest. 8. The reunions and rare acts were great for the most part. I tried to see every one of the rare acts on the bill. Ended up catching Kaiser Chiefs, American Football, Brand New, Pixies, Interpol, Spiritualized & Ride. 9. Tame Impala are going to get as big as they'd like. Sky's the limit, really.
Top Shows for me were:

When they went into Shine A Light straight from the previous song. I cried when it happened at the late night. I think that may be my favorite song.
The only problem now is that whatever Shaky Knees releases as a line up next year, can't possibly stack up to this year, but if it's half as good I'll get VIP.
A few of my friends and I have already agreed to do early bird VIP next year. It'll be so worth it.
So yea, I agree with the general sentiment of the board... that was a hell of a weekend. It was awesome to meet Monnnie (it won't let me tag you?), Son of a Beek, thepeppers and Phyre Fest at Spiritualized LN! Sounds like I missed a bunch of other folks there so sorry about that.
My favorite sets in no particular order were TV On The Radio, James Blake, Wilco, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Ride and Tame Impala.
Special shout out to the Dos Equis stage bar for being an excellent meeting place/shade opportunity/pretty good place to watch a show for the second year in a row.

What a wonderful, wonderful weekend. Some highlights:
1. King of Pops popsicles. These were life savers and incredibly delicious. I had Grapefruit Hibiscus, Pomegranate Lemonade, and Salted Lemonade and all were superb.
2. Neutral Milk Hotel. I can't compare this to other performances, because this was my first time, but I loved it. I wished they would have played Oh, Comely, but alas.
3. Spiritualized LN: No banter, just a nice, "Thank you" at the end. It was a perfect show, really.
4.Mariachi El Bronz, Mini Mansions, and John Grant. All early day performances that surprised or exceeded expectations.
5. Tame Impala and The Strokes- both incredibly well suited to headline, and the Strokes (in my opinion) appeared to give a pretty good performance. Julian looked to be enjoying himself.
6. Portugal. The Man LN: I had to leave early because I had been up since 6 am (drove in from Charlotte that morning). I think I left around 1:50. When did they play until? I know Curfew was 2, but it didn't seem like their set was anywhere near being done when I left (around Atomic Man).
Only thing they need to do is supplement the food trucks with separate concession areas that have normal food. This would help alleviate the lines a bit. Take some of the beer stands and turn them into burger, hot dog, pretzel, nacho stands. People will go for it, and you won't be stuck with as long of lines. When you have 20 people taking orders across all 20 trucks for 40,000 people, things are gonna get backed up.
Finally getting back to normal after that amazing weekend.
Top 5 (in no particular order): Minus the Bear, Mountain Goats, Tame Impala, Mac DeMarco, Interpol (with a hat tip to Wilco, who I've seen several times but that was the best I've heard them sound)
I'm a little disappointed more people didn't get to see Minus the Bear because that show was amazing.
Can't wait to do it all again in another year.
Anyone got any way too early predictions/requests for bands for next year? I'll start off with requests of MMJ, Beck (it has to happen at some point, right?), Damon Albarn (in whatever form), of Montreal, Pinback, Polica, Arctic Monkeys, Thee Oh Sees. I had a longer list that I made while watching The Both but can't seem to find it now.

That's it exactly. I was going to post something similar but you beat me to it. Food trucks are great but not designed for mass production/service when there are tens of thousands of people looking to eat.
One of my favorite lines of the weekend came from Mrs. Pops (also know as Moms) - "Poor Xavier Rudd. Even Xavier Rudd wishes he were at the Ryan Adams set."
Also, Moms really liked meeting (or seeing again) a bunch of you crazy knuckleheads. custeph - she was worried about seeing you and telling you that she lost the last bracelet. She loves the new bracelet and is still wearing it.

Dave Maynar - good times at Mitski and Speedy Ortiz among others and with you and the member FKA superfurryanimal at Panda Bear (EAP - we looked for you at that one, but it was so crowded in there).
Something for you kids out there - these two "old" donkeys made almost 30 sets over the three days plus a late night, got there when the gates opened every morning and left with the closers, and we looked damned good doing it (who can pull off a pink checked button down at a music festival? This guy.). So yeah it is possible to keep your shoes on in the port-a-john and still be alpha as fuck.
The only problem now is that whatever Shaky Knees releases as a line up next year, can't possibly stack up to this year, but if it's half as good I'll get VIP.

And where were you staying, the hour long MARTA ride there every morning and 30 minute Uber home after the latenights makes a big difference.
