Most will insist that this thread doesn't need to exist. A few will be fascinated.
Paul McCartney - "Polkas on 45s" (early polka medley including "Hey Jude") Tom Petty - "Stop Draggin' My Car Around" (parody of "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around", a Stevie Nicks hit penned by Petty) R. Kelly - "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" (parody of "Trapped in the Closet") David Byrne - "Dog Eat Dog" (style parody of the Talking Heads) Billy Idol - "Alimony" (parody of "Mony Mony"); also the polka medley "Polka Your Eyes Out" opens with "Cradle of Love" ZZ Top and John Oates - "Hooked on Polkas" (one of Al's polka medleys which includes "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Method of Modern Love", respectively)
Some of these, more than others, have a strong chance of being included in his set, so I'll be curious to see where that leads things. And now you know.
Best possibility is for a short piece of "Trapped In The Drive-Thru" to be included in a medley. I would be ecstatic if "Dog Eat Dog" turned up, it's a great song and a fan favorite, but it hasn't been in the Alpocalypse Tour setlist, so my hopes aren't high. Al also did a concert-only parody of "Live and Let Die" called "Chicken Pot Pie" but he never recorded it because Paul McCartney didn't give approval (he felt it would be condoning the eating of chicken, and contravening his vegetarianism) so it's very unlikely to be performed at the same festival where Paul is.
