Also, now that my nemesis was able to skirt (puns are fun!) by another week while taking a steaming dump on the runway, I am going to have to walk back my support of this whole teams idea.
I am soooooooooooo annoyed! I dislike her also, and her dress looked horrible!! At least Ben's was a good idea with some fit issues. AND his client was happy! Hers was a bad idea with even worse fit issues, and the "I sat in gum" butt! Her dress was one of the worst things I've ever seen on the show. I really don't understand that vote.
The win kind of puzzled me too. I don't understand how 2 designers in the "three-way" team had the two highest scores but still didn't place as one of the top teams. Was Patricia's really that much worse than the other bottom teams? And the other two designs were fantastic and BOTH should have taken the win over the saggy-crotched matador look!
And why did NOBODY bring up that oddly cinched panel in that jersey knit turquoise/black dress, aka one of the "top" looks. It looked horrible.
This week has gone off the rails a bit. I hope they reign it in next week and get things back on track.
And thanks for the spoiler warning. I haven't watched last night's episode yet.
I can't remember who suggested it, but I think a spoiler tag for 2 days after the episode runs is pretty fair. Allows for the people who can't watch it that night to catch up.

I think, out of the bottom four, Amanda and Tu's were the worst. Due to the format, they had to pick the loser for the bottom team. Tu's partner did well, so it gets left to Ben and Amanda instead. Ben's dress wasn't great, but I don't think it deserved all the hate it got on the runway. It was certainly better than Amanda's AND his client actually liked her outfit (which could not be said for Tu or Amanda). One could argue that Ben was a auf based off long-term performance, but I think Amanda's long-term performance was worse too.
Yes, Patricia's outfit was that bad. She continues to be the worst designer on this season by far. I am glad Michelle actually sees it and is saying something about it. When they are talking about that team, I believe they said that Michelle and Layana had the top two scores but Patricia had the worst score out of everyone.
I think the matador look was pretty good. The pants had issues in the front, but the back looked spectacular.
Richard's 80's sack cloth mess was pretty atrocious. I can't conceptualize what they saw in it either. Yes, that model had some pretty banging legs for being a senior citizen, but it made her torso look blocky. I agree that it was oddly cinched. The same dress on a model with a waist and hips would have been great, but it did not work with who he had it for.
lol ok so i don't shoot me but i kind of like patricia. she has some weird but cool ideas. she is annoying and not my favorite at all but the guy who left this week, i disliked more.
i think maybe daniel will win the whole thing but i do like these two girls:
This whole season has seemed really off to me. I thought that pink leather diamond thing that Patricia made a few weeks ago that all the judges loved looked terrible.
And this week, I thought Daniel and Samantha's were both better than Stanley and Richard's. Richard's was totally unflattering on that woman. I liked Stanley's, but that crotch issue should have been enough to take him out of the winning spot, although I do agree that the back of the pants were really well done.
I think Tu was really lucky that Kate did so well because the sewing on his really was a mess. He seems so nice, though. It makes me sad for him to do so badly.
And I also agree that Amanda should have gone home instead of Ben. The back of that dress was absolutely ridiculous.
see that's what i mean about her. the pink diamond thing was terrible, but the idea was super cool. she could have done some kick-ass stuff with it. i've seen worse i guess. lol

Yeah, it's fair to say the idea was cool, but the garment she made with it was awful, and the judges went crazy for it. It just kind of feels like they lowered the standards in general this season.
I'm boycotting this season, after watching every season since it started. The idea of a TEAM season pissed me off so much that I refused to watch it, considering the team episodes were always the absolute worst of their respective seasons.
Can I use this thread to complain about how Uli was ROBBED on All-Stars???? The judges had the biggest boner for Anthony Ryan from the start.
So why did they send both of them home again? I was half awake when I watched so I may have missed something. Was anyone else disappointed that we only got 1 outfit per pair this week? I NEED MOAR FASHUNZ! I am glad they added a new unconventional challenge, but none of the dresses really did anything for me. Again, maybe it was because the inside of my eyelids was more of a priority, but I found the episode to be pretty boring.

I don't think they really said why they sent home two instead of one, but they said that Kate was responsible for the bad dress (I didn't think it was that much worse than the gold one, but it was just kind of boring, which seemed to be Kate's problem in general) and that Tu didn't make himself heard. He really did just let her walk all over him. And I do think she picked him at least partly because she knew she would be in control and because she knew he was a weaker designer and would be the one of them to go home, although that obviously backfired.
I was disappointed in them only having one dress per pair, but I also think the whole "work in teams but the items don't have to have anything to do with each other" challenges don't make any sense. I just generally am not crazy about the whole team thing though.
1) EAP, I said it in chat, but it bears repeating that you are the worst. Between the Patricia love and the Michelle hate, I almost wish I could ban you from this thread. 2) I will admit that this was Patricia's best effort of the show. Finally, her ability with fabric construction paid off to something that actually looked good. I didn't think that the top and the skirt went together as well (also the problem with Leyana and Stanley's dress). Also, I didn't care for the hem of the skirt on Patricia's. With the duct tape, it seemed kind of weird and stiff. 3) After some shaky decisions recently, I agreed with Michelle winning and Tu losing wholeheartedly. The double auf was definitely a surprise. I don't really know that the girl earned it, but she was being super b*tchy that episode, so I didn't feel as bad about it. I do wish they had given a little more explanation as to why. 4) I agree with NothingButFlowers about Leyana. I like her designs, but she pouted over the zebra print. I can't stand pouters. 5) I liked the one dress per pair idea. What's the point in teams when you don't actually have to be a team? 6) Did anyone else noticed that both of the bottom dresses were the ones that were monochromatic? 7) I think Daniel and Richard's could have been great if they had just gone bigger. Adding some contrast or doing something with the bottom ruffles would have changed that dress immensely. 8) Daniel's cape was fantastic.
Stop doing the menswear episode. It is always horrible and painful.
Love, Everyone
Agreed. I always feel bad for the person who goes home, but I am also surprised nobody seems to study up on menswear a bit before appearing on the show.

I think they just booted the person they had the least confidence in on the losing team. Amanda had been in the bottom a bunch, so the likelihood of her making a run deep in the competition was basically nil. More than anything, I am mad that Patricia escaped again by being on the winning team. It frustrates me that she has been on there way longer than she should have been just because of the Teams set-up.
They did hint pretty strong at a Patricia meltdown next week. Her tears will be delicious.
I am also confused as to why these people don't study up on, at least, the basics of menswear. The menswear challenge is still a staple of the show, right? I guess I shouldn't be that surprised though. Survivor is in its 10000th season (still awesome), and they still have tons of people who show up with zero ability to make a fire.

Reminds me of the Amazing Race where every season some team shows up without knowing how to drive a stick shift.
