Am I the only one who was more than a bit disappointed in the new Cut Copy? By no means was it awful, but I've given it a couple listens and it just hasn't grabbed me anywhere near as much as their previous three.
I've decided I have not listened to enough november releases to make a vote. I too didn't did Cut Cooy sleepy, Eminem was awful, and I like blood orange after 1 listen this evening. If December is gonna be as scarce as November, I'll have time to catch up then.
What are we looking at for December Pops? Your lists have done me a great deal of good so far this year.

I love the instrumentation of the whole thing, especially the synths, but it's lyrically and vocally lacking for me.

Nah, I'm with you.
Great beginning to the album, then just seemingly craters in the middle and loses my attention. I liked the previous two albums better.
I don't know who owns this thread anymore, but let's put November to rest. I allowed the two late votes only because there were so few voters this month and it did not affect the outcome (other than to move M.I.A. into a 2nd place tie with Cut Copy). So the winner is:
TOY - Join the Dots Childish Gambino - Because the Internet R. Kelly - Black Panties Dam-Funk and Snoop - 7 Days of Funk Brendan Benson - You Were Right (from Raconteurs) Talib Kweli - Gravitas Robert Pollard - Blazing Gentlemen (from GBV) Britney Spears - Britney Jean Boston (?!) - Life, Love and Hope Black Flag - What The bEEdEEgEE - SUM/ONE Xiu Xiu - Nina Burial - TBD (EP) Erol Alkan - Illumination (EP) Glen Hansard - Drive All Night (EP) Guerilla Toss - Gay Disco (EP) The Faze - Suicide Note (EP)
I didn't include things like the L.I.E.S compilation or the 500-disc Nashboro collection or live albums like the ones from Muse, Mastodon and Mac Miller, but I don't think the rules ever stated it had to be a completely new record so vote away.

One of my New Years Resolutions is to participate in this thread in 2014. I feel like it will definitely expand my musical tastes and be fun as well. What are some good suggestions to look out for in Jan. 2014?
