We do a lot of wraps. PBJ or PBH (with PBR), or a salad wrap with sunflower seeds and those veggie bacon bits and dressing...or maybe if we're feeling fancy a wrap with scrambled eggs & cheese & spinach, and that ilk. They're easy to make and the tortillas are hard to squish during the journey, and you can wrap a wrap in foil and tote it into Centeroo with very little hassle. Plus, you never know what little party favor you might be able to tuck away inside one.

I really limit the food I bring in, because it is really easy to over do it. I bring a can of ravioli to eat each day, usually in the morning. Beef jerky and cliff bars to bring into Centeroo. And two bags of chips to munch on at camp. That's it. And I buy everything else in Centeroo because it is cheap, convenient, and delicious.

Couldn't really disagree with any posts above. Yep. I am one of those that don't eat a lot during the fest I have done the whole gourmet, breakfast, lunch, and dinner to zip. If you plan on hanging in camp a lot, then I think you will tend to cook and eat more. If I don't hang there most anything works for me. My only WON'T go without. At least 3 giant cups of over caffeinated coffee . If you see me, got any coffee? Doesn't matter what time of day haha Some things depend a bit on the hot temps. We had simple red licorice melt in a plastic bag. One year we bought probably a dozen apples and a dozen pears i think because they were fresh and local. We tossed over half away Actually a few hundred miles away, we left it in a forest thinking the local critters would love them. While I am just rambling here. The BMAn board is brainwashing me lolz. Please watch your MOOP (trash) as much as possible. Sure individual servings of stuff is really convenient but be sure to toss it in a trash can or your pocket till you can hit a trashcan. There are threads here about shoes but there are a lot of bare feet out there. rant lalalalallalallaa

I just discovered these "gopicnic" meals:
Definitely bringing some to Roo! They have a ton of different varieties, and each one is basically a collection of individually wrapped items. All very health-conscious - no trans fats, no high fructose corn syrup, no added MSG, and no artificial flavors and colors. And a lot of them also avoid common allergens like gluten and peanuts and stuff.
I'm thinking they're perfect for Roo - there are a lot of seeds and nuts and dried fruit and stuff involved, which is excellent Roo-fuel. And they're not refrigerated, although I think I'll probably try to stash 'em in a cooler since some do have meats and cheeses that I'm not sure I would want to have sitting out in Roo heat. Plus the chocolates would melt and the peanut butters (and similar things) would probably get sort of goopy.
I've only tried three so far but they were all pretty good...gonna have to pick up some more soon. And I just noticed that you can buy them from the website including buying them sort of in bulk or getting variety packs...may have to go that route for Roo. I like to do sandwiches. I bring cheese, condiments, and deli meat. Last year almond butter was a hit after party favors. Also, Kashi makes a big soft trail mix cookie that is good for breakfast or quick fuel. Fruits are good, and of course, PLENTY of canned beer.
We bring a small propane stove for breakfast purposes since we are up well before music starts (normal menu is bacon with bacon with bacon and cheese on English muffins. All other Meals are vendor meals from Centeroo. We do bring a lot of snacks though. A large amount of fresh fruit (ice cold fruit from dry ice cooler is sparkly and refreshing) and salty snacks (jerky, chips, trail mix) and sweets (cookies, fruit rollups, candy). We don't eat much with it being so hot so this works out well and ends with the least amount of waste for us.
One quick-and-easy breakfast that really worked for me last year was oats mixed with oatmeal. I mixed 'em together before leaving for Roo and the oats absorbed enough oatmeal that it wasn't dry at all - but it was delicious and full of complex carbs! And if you make it with Greek yogurt then you can get some protein in first thing in the morning too. Other than that, I pretty much lived off of Clif bars and vendor food.
