Romo may have something to say about this. (If neither of his backs fail him that is.)
Let's hope. That line is dominating. If he can audible to some quick throws when that all out blitz is coming they can make a run. Controlling the clock and keeping that defense, which is much improved over last year's, off the field for as long as possible gives them a chance.
What i love seeing is in most 2014 re-drafts, Zack Martin is considered a top 10 pick. Shows Jerry isn't completely incompetent. I love watching Romo air it out to 88 but i am all about running to down an opponents throat. And having such a dominating line has allowed us to be balanced in our attack. The thing that scares me is the inability to get to the Qb consistently. Henry Melton has started to look more like the pro bowler he was prior to injury but they're going to need Lawrence or Spencer to really step it up if they want to go deep into the playoffs.
also Arizona has already beaten SF with Stanton and they won by 11 points
Why on Earth do you believe that any of these past events have any impact on what will happen in the future? Do you honestly think that any time one time has a loss to a shitty team, it means they'll always be beaten by a team which isn't as shitty? Do you comprehend even for a minute how completely backwards your reasoning is?
The Cardinals beat the 49ers back in September. You cant tell me that if you beat any team in September, you dont have to worry about them in December and January. For the majority of teams, they will be a different team (good or bad). That was week 2. Since then, the same 49ers have beaten the Eagles and Chiefs and just beat the Saints on the road.
Im not saying the Cardinals suck, they just wont be able to win in the playoffs, and likely in the regular season down the stretch with Stanton. The will lose both games to Seattle, and will lose the last game of the season at SF for sure.

San Francisco is not a good team. Arizona is too three and still top five with Stanton.

You are really overrating SF
Aldon Smith is back yo!
Too bad none of those free agent defensive secondary losses are coming back with him.
The Packers have got me really excited for the rest of the season. Eagles, Patriots, and Lions look like the only big challenges left, and I'll be excited to see how the post-"relax" Packers fare in their second game against Detroit.
NFC 1.DETROIT 2.DALLAS 3.CARDINALS 4.NEW ORLEANS 5.GREEN BAY 6.SEATTLE
Detroit has one of, if not the best front line in football and with Calvin Johnson coming off of injury they could really roll off some wins at the end of their schedule. And yes i realize the Cardinals beat the Cowboys, but cmon it was Weeden, Weeden!
AFC 1.NEW ENGLAND 2.INDIANAPOLIS 3.DENVER 4.CLEVELAND 5.MIAMI 6.CINCINATTI

I think this is reasonable. Pretty sure Denver will finish second but if Philli doesn't win the division they'd take a wild card. And really Cleveland?

As a Packers fan I am hoping for 11-5 season. Just because there may be a 10-6 NFC team on the outside looking in. The Packers schedule sets up favorably for the end of the year. Tough games against NE and Philly, but both at home. Plus the Lions have to come back to Lambeau in week 17 with the title possibly on the line. Away games are always tough, but the Packers should be favorites in all of their remaining road games.
It will be almost impossible for all three NFC West teams to get in. I think that they will get two out of three in. The last spot might be a battle of whoever loses the North and East. Which makes this week's Pack/Eagles game so important.

Arizona is top five with Stanton???
In no specific order... Pats, Broncos, Colts, Packers, Seahawks, Cowboys... all absolutely better than Cards with Stanton
Other teams I would take over Cards with Stanton but certainly an arguement can be made for the Cards (no specific order) Steelers, Bengals, Niners, Saints
Mind you, I am not a Cards hater. I will root for them over all the other NFC teams because my team sucks (Bears). I am also a Big Ten guy and love seeing Big Ten guys succeed in the NFL. I am just being realistic. Its not like Stanton is an unknown. He has a large enough sample of work in his career to validate that he is not even capable of being Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson and take a team with a great defense to the Super Bowl. Career 53.6 % percentage. 8 td's, 9 Ints. 69 QB rating. He can hold on and get them to the playoffs simply playing .500 ball from now til end of season. He wont win a playoff game.

I think Detroit is a fraud as well. We will see. I do like the coaching change. They lost to Buffalo and the Panthers. Those last three wins (two home games and a neutral site game) were won by a combined 6 points. Only true road wins were at Minnesota and at Jets. Id have been all over the Cardinals this week with Palmer but with Stanton, I think the game is pretty even. One of the Cardinals or Lions will still be overrated after this weekend. Green Bay will win the division.

Have you seen how comfortable Stanton is in Bruce Arians system? He has a low completion rate and flusters a lot but he's more Mobil than Palmer and makes enough plays to win games.

"Palmer had faced only one defense in the defensive DVOA top ten (Philadelphia) while Drew Stanton faced two of them in his three starts (Denver and San Francisco)."

I love how your own links contradict you.
First, that's the link to team rankings by DVOA, which does nothing else but contradict your statement that "Arizona is a top three team," but whatever.
Second, the link I provided with QB DYAR/DVOA was to show you that there are actual ways to support your arguments, as Stanton is really high in DVOA, basically meaning that he provides a greater value per play than many of his contemporaries.

I think it is nice to use facts, such as actual statistics, to justify your opinions. However, you cannot turn your opinion into a fact. And no matter how many facts or stats you have, you can't answer the very general questions of "Who do you think is the better team?" or "Who will win the division?" with anything other than your opinion, or at most set of probabilities. Also, it's never a fun time arguing with an attorney

The Eagles still have two games against the Cowboys, Seattle and Green Bay, so i dont see them winning the division with 'the Shanchise' at the helm but i can see them squeezing ahead of Seattle/San Francisco for a playoff spot. And yes Cleveland has a realistic chance of taking that division. They've split with Pitt, but even in there loss they played them tight, same goes for the Baltimore game and they blew Cinci out. But hey its still early.

but it said Baltimore is #2 which is just wrong. And I really don't really don't think the Buncos are the best team since all Manning does now is beat up on shitty teams. Don't get me wrong I think he's the great regular season quarterback of all time, but after that Patriots game I'm not really sure about anything in this league anymore. I really have to be reading the DVOA wrong though because it really just does not make any sense.

Hey now, don't forget Sanchez took the Jets to the AFC Championship game two years in a row. I think all he needs is the Iggles defense to give that reliability and McCoy to become McCoy again.
I do think Cleveland has a really good shot at winning the division and I really like Brian Hoyer, but the only thing that's really giving me the confidence to say that is the awful Pitt game against the Jets. I really hope Cinci doesn't win the division because it's such a waste every year.

Yeah Pitt looked horrible against the Jets and their secondary is aging and injury riddled. I dont see them making a strong case come in December, my only reason i hold any hope for them is the Roethlisberger/Brown connection and they have a beast running back in Bell. And i was a Red Rifle supporter but he has just been horrible this year (yes i know losing Green doesnt help but hes just BAD) and hes even worse in January so there is little hope there.

I got Brown last week in fantasy and I was so pissed because I could've gotten 170 points if I put Forsett in.

DVOA isn't perfect, and it'll have outliers, but it's generally a better measure of a team's efficiency and true effectiveness than any other stat you can find.

I'm not a big stats person. While they are direct proof of performance, I think so much more goes into it.
