Well, Clemson can't go undefeated without beating an SEC team, and are there any other ACC teams besides my favorite NCAA team EVARRR that even have the slightest chance of going undefeated?
well that's the point. we play SC every year. we play FSU every year. we're not Boise. maybe Miami? they have the potential to be really good. they have to beat FSU and Fla to do it though.
I don't know about undefeated, but Miami has a chance to have a really good year this year.
you're crazy. an undefeated ACC team wouldn't be left out like Boise or like Louisville could be this year.
If you think they would put an undefeated ACC team in the NC over an undefeated Ohio St and Alabama (preseason top 2), you are high.
maybe in a scenario like that. but it's not really likely to happen. not many teams finish undefeated. Bama doesn't even do it. Ohio St did it last year and despite their easy schedule it would be crazy if they did it again. Oregon or Stanford have a chance at it as well. it's just not very likely that there will be 3 undefeated teams.
nothing you can say would diminish it, that's the issue. so I don't care.
Fair enough. Game on then.
I will make a deal on you not downplaying it when we beat SEC teams. all I ever hear about is how dominant they are and then excuses when we beat them. no excuses. deal?

I haven't unfairly downplayed your victory over LSU. I would have said they were the 5th best team in the SEC last year before or after their loss to LSU. Also, as I pointed out previously, I felt your statement that Clemson crushed/dominated/demolished/etc. LSU was crap because they won by one point on a last second field goal.

the comments I made were about how we put 450 of yds on them and ran their defense ragged. if you don't think making an elite SEC defense fall over faking injuries is impressive then I don't know what to say to you. the score wasn't indicative, but that's how it goes sometimes.

I know I am a day late, but as a member of team ACC, I have high expectations for Miami this year. Duke Johnson is one of the best running backs in the country. Stephen Morris COULD BE the best QB in the conference.
Guess it'll be another year before I can come piss on sang's party.
It's never too early to rain on Sang's parade.
Dave, since I am caring less and less about what people think of me I'm going to share something with you: the spit thing? My fellow "borderline-psychotic LB that enjoys inflicting pain more than anything else, ever" that I played with and I would do that before games, with a face-slap as the exclamation point.

bansheebeat, I am with flanzo. In the event of a Clemson ACC title this year, just continually tell Sang how he better enjoy it now because all their success ends when Louisville enters the ACC next year.
Flanz, so you're Lattimer in that situation? That's unfortunate. In fact, sh*t turns out pretty bad for both of them, doesn't it?

Yes, except my career ended with a blown out knee via a ridiculous cheap shot (which happened to Mack) and I played LB, not DE.
Lattimer gets caught juicing, cleans himself up, gets trucked in the game Mack gets hurt in and then goes back on the juice before making a game-saving play in the final game, but he's full of shame when the head coach looks in his eyes and knows he's cheating again. I watched this movie before every game, btw.

It's a good choice. Definitely better than Any Given Sunday.
I love college football message boards. Just read this gem about tonight's UNC-SC game.
8 Reasons Why My Tarheels Will Shock the Gamecocks
1.Bryn Renner Bryn Renner is a Heisman dark horse and an All American waiting to happen. He will single handedly shred the young Gamecock linebackers with quick, surgical strikes. If he can throw a football over that mountain, he can certainly throw one over Kelcy Quarles.
2.Championship Tradition The Tarheels understand something the Gamecocks do not - what it takes to be a CHAMPION. With 5 NCAA basketball championships UNC knows how to get things done at a high level.
3.Road Warriors Don't believe for a second that the Gamecocks have an advantage because they're playing at home. UNC actually plays BETTER on the road, instead of their depressing, half empty stadium. The Gamecocks are used to playing in packed houses, they won't be as pumped up as UNC.
4.Uniforms It's a fact that the color blue has a pacifying effect of those who look at it, while red inspires hostility and anger. The Gamecocks will be lulled by UNC's powder blues while the Tarheels will get pumped up looking at those all-garnet unis. Grrrr!
5.Defensive Experience Unlike the Gamecocks, the Tarheel's defense is super experienced, returning 9 starters from last year's potentially championship-caliber defense. While South Carolina doesn't know what to expect from their young defensive starters, North Carolina should be at least as good as last year on that side of the ball.
6.Fresh bodies 4 of the 5 starting offensive linemen for USC have logged significant playing time, one has to wonder what they could possibly have left in the tank. North Carolina, on the other hand, has a relatively fresh set of bodies up front. There are only 18 starts between 4 of the starting linemen for UNC, meaning they should be much more rested than USC's front 5.
7.Ego trippin' With all the hype surrounding Clowney and the USC defensive unit as whole, there's bound to be resentment. It's impossible to play as a cohesive unit with so many super talented stars on one team. UNC does not have this problem.
8.Bryn Renner Did I mention he can throw a football over a g*d d*mn mountain? Because he can. With both arms. Prepare to see a Tajh Boyd-esque performance against the Gamecocks - he's that good!
Are you scared yet, Gamecocks? Because you should be. The world will bear witness to your humiliation when The Mighty Tarheels roll into Williams-Brice tonight at 6pm. UNC's run to the National Title Game (and possibly even an ACC title) begins tonight!
