NOT SportsCenter "REPORT: Eastern Washington will move to #2 next week since they beat Oregon State who beat Utah who beat Stanford who beat Oregon #BCSLogic"
Stanford beat Oregon State, and Oregon could beat anyone on that list but Stanford
The first half was good. I don't know if I could say the same about the second.
Scrog, how hot is Muschamp's seat now? Injuries aside, this is the first time Vandy has beat Florida in Gainesville since 1945, and I know Tennessee's OT victory over Vandy in 2011 is when the Dooley hate really started to gain traction.

I go to UF and everyone here wants him out. I try to cut him some slack because of all the injuries and the fact that he doesn't handle any offensive play calling. That being said I am becoming more open to the idea of replacing Muschamp with a offensive minded coach, preferably Dan Mullen.

I figured he was getting some slack because of the injuries, but losing to Vandy (especially at home) carries a certain stigma to it even if they are better than usual. I looked up their schedule in the interim. The last three games are against S Carolina, Georgia Southern and FSU meaning they better win next week, or they miss out on a bowl game. I would assume that would be an automatic boot. They fired Zook for less than a losing record.
This Bama-LSU game is pretty entertaining. People should be watching it.

As much as I hate Bama, I always find myself rooting for them in these kind of situations, I figure keeping the national championship within the conference is best when my team is obviously out of the running. But yeah, if Florida can't pull off a win against SCAR I think it's more than likely Muschamp gets the boot. Haven't missed a bowl since 1990.

I don't think Dan Mullen is the answer to Florida's woes here; he hasn't been particularly impressive at Mississippi State. Mullen may be gone at the end of the year himself. I agree that even with the injuries, a massive offensive overhaul has to be donr, and if that means you have to fire Muschamp, so be it
By the way, with VT's win over Miami today, if Duke beats Miami next week, they will lead the Coastal Division and be in control of their own destiny. The Fightin' Cutcliffes!
EDIT: Nevermind, they would be tied for 1st and lose a tie breaker to Georgia Tech. Still though. And if GT were to lose again....

This year has been disappointing, but he does have two straight 8 win seasons in the SEC. His offensive scheme worked really well when he was Florida's OC (Granted Tim Tebow was behind center.) I think Florida should go with an offensive oriented coach, Mullen was just the first name I thought of. Tyler Murphy is really not the answer for this team. They need to bring in a great offensive recruiting class, but UF doesn't seem that appealing at the moment with such a defensive oriented coach.

Art Briles. Can't find a better offensive hire than that.

That's a pretty good idea, he's got it good in Baylor right now, don't know how'd easy it be to lure him out.

The consensus is that Ga Tech will lose to Clemson on Thursday and Duke will then control their own destiny. I'm so excited. I've been going to games for 20 years now and my memories of the good years are hazy at best.
A few crazy stats of note: Only 2 players in NCAA history have returned an INT for a TD on consecutive plays, DeVon Edwards yesterday and Leon Wright in 2009, both for Duke under Cutcliffe (Wright didn't return a kickoff for a TD in the same game, though). Unofficially, Duke's defense has only given up 3 points following the last 8 turnovers by the offense and has only allowed 2 touchdowns over the last 10 quarters of football. Pretty impressive.
I like their chances at home against Miami, I'm actually more worried about the battle for the Victory Bell against a desperate UNC team that may be fighting for bowl eligibility in the last game of the season.

I think that's the big question for me out of the top 10 this week. I could really see those two going in either order. It really would have helped Clemson if they had a game this week.

Ok, CBS's expert has them at 6. It's still just a projection. There's other projections out there that have Oregon at 6. Like I stated, it would be reasonable to have either at 6. If Clemson would have played a game this week, they would be a more solid 6.

There is such a big drop off after the top teams this season. Usually it seems like the Top 15, if not Top 20, is pretty deep and not separated by a huge margin, but this year is different, some of the teams that are ranked shouldn't be, but at the end of the day there isn't really anyone to take their place either.
