Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Hey all, first off cause I have never actually said it, Thank You! Inforoo is such an awesome community of people, you are friendly, patient with us newbs and I love that there are disagreements that don't degenerate into name calling. I have found so much info here and it has been very helpful.
So onto my question. I love music and I love going to live shows but sadly my variety is somewhat lacking. I love classic rock, indie rock/ some pop, and a little country. There are around 20 shows I'd like to see so far but that will probably be more like 13-15 as things don't always go to plan and there are some conflicts. I'd like to see something like 20-25 shows total so I have quite the gap here. Some bands I like are I am Jen, Fun, Decemberists, The Streets, We Were Promised Jet Packs, Johny Cash, Billy Joel, Exit Clove, Bob Dylan, The Police, Skynyrd, ect.

If you're looking at bands to check out at Roo, I'd check out Wake Owl, Father John Misty, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, and the Revivalists... I checked out these bands from advice from this board (and others) and have really started to dig on them. And of course the National and Wilco. There are so many great bands playing the fest this year!

Moved this down here because I thought it was just for general music tastes...not necessarily BOnnaroo artists. That said...we can leave it here and I"m sure people can offer up both suggestions. As for Roo....might want to check out some of these recommendation threads:
Thanks for the suggestions and fee free to keep them coming. Jenny, I just Dl'd spotify to my phone and I will set it up on the laptop when I get home tonight between jobs. I have used Pandora before and this seems similar.
Are you into bluegrass as well as country? If so, check out all of That Tent on Sunday. Other artists that I think you'll like based on what you listed... Jason Isbell, Glen Hansard, Local Natives, Milo Greene, The National, Lord Huron and, of course, Father John Misty.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

The Sheepdogs will be a good time. Alt-J won me over quick and are my most anticipated show now. Milo greene is growing on me. ZZ top will be awesome but Wu-Tang is where ill be. Their not on my schedule but the world music on the bill is great I would stop by and catch a few songs at any one of them.
I definitely plan on catching Ed Helms' Blue Grass superjam. I only half like 40 minutes at home today between jobs but I will try to check out Spotify, if not today then tomorrow. Thanks for all the suggestions!
