so, the CEO posted a response to the recent controversy on the A+F Facebook page. it falls far short of an apology- it's basically a passive-aggressive "I'm sorry if you got offended (but I still hate you if you're fat)" rather than "I'm sorry that I'm such a d.bag" personally though, before all of this I always found Hollister's clothes to be worse. pretty sure they are literally designed for crack addicts- no one else is that skinny. of course, it's been years since I even went in either store.
