. would have been insane to see trent on stage alone opening a set with that. hope it makes it somewhere into the fall setlist.
Now, I'm reading that "that" was actually the second song of the set... people are saying that the first song actually was a new track, but I don't think anyone knows which one, yet, by title.
Copy of A (new song) Sanctified Came Back Haunted March of the Pigs Piggy Reptile Terrible Lie Closer Gave Up Help Me I'm In Hell Me, I'm Not Find My Way (new song) The Way Out Is The Way Through Wish Survivalism The Good Soldier Discipline Only The Hand That Feeds (retire this goddanged song, already!) Head Like A Hole Hurt
Since we're on a new page, I'm updating this here, now.
Edit: people claiming that some of these songs are unfamiliar sounding reworkings of the studio versions...
Well, looks like that's it, folks... surprised at only three new songs on the setlist, but pretty good looking setlist. Not much word about the imagery, yet... hope some Youtube clips start popping up.

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
...so they only played one song from the fragile....
Kind of expected that... I think the most that has been played from that album since after the Fragility tour was maybe 3 or 4 songs in a night, and that was very rare. Used to be just The Frail and The Wretched, but I dig the current choice... it kicked ass when they did it at Bonnaroo.
i feel like the day the whole world went away, the fragile, somewhat damaged, the wretched, and the big come down were all big parts of their last two tours. would have expected at least one of them. Either way im digging the set and cant wait for videos of this to start showing up

The last tour, yes, along with a few other tracks from The Fragile... they would randomly be played, none of them were really regulars, though. For LITS,it was exclusively The Frail and The Wretched, and With Teeth was the same but with Somewhat Damaged rarely, as well, and maybe The Big Come Down from time to time.
And you know, it could change from night to night, depending on how specific the visuals are to the music.
Trent's definitely showing some rust... having trouble with some vocals, not singing whole verses, and messing up some lyrics here and there. NIN are pros, though... the kinks will be worked out in no time.

So now that it has leaked, what are everyone's thoughts on it? I certainly had some reservations after hearing the three singles, but now that I've listened to the whole album twice, I think it's probably the best NIN album since The Fragile. I love that it has the synthpop vibe of Pretty Hate Machine in many of the songs. I think my favorite track is All Time Low. Obviously Adrian Belew layed down that very nice King Crimson-esque jam for it and Trent almost sounds like f'n Prince up in there. Kinda disappointed that they haven't played it live though. Hopefully they'll bust it out soon.

I have only listened to it the once, and it was different enough from what I was expecting that I can't really give an overall rating to it yet. I do wonder how much their setlist will be switched up now that the album is available. I could see them holding back some of the new songs until the album release so it didn't get spoiled.
i dig that its a different direction. the new spin article is fantastic, gives a lot of insight into the record. trent was really trying to steer away from the classic loud chorus/loud guitars NIN sound. i also like the synthpoppy sound.
My only critique after one listen is some of the songs seem a little dull and sleepy to me, but I probably just need to listen a few more times and do so with more concentration.
"All Time Low" is one of the best songs NIN has ever made. I seriously can't get enough.
Listening at work today, its All Time Low and Copy of A that I keep coming back to. Both are awesome tracks. Still working out how I feel about the rest of the album. I have a feeling it will grow on me.
All Time Low is shockingly funky for an NIN track. Looking forward to hearing it live.
