Niiice - I gave up on Weezy, but dare I say.. is he returning to form?! Is this from an upcoming album or mixtape? Cause his mixtapes are usually better than his albums..

This is from the Carter V. His supposed last album. Wayne hasn't been on since 'No Ceilings' but this and the single with Drake has me really stoked.
I thought the single with Drake was wack (I don't care for Drake), but I like this one, banshee. I'd be happy if Wayne returned to form. At the risk of sounding like an old man...I think his influence is terrible for our culture, but when he's on, I really really enjoy his music.

I don't like Drake either but loved the new single. And this song from back in the day was excellent:

Right on.. yeah, at first I almost didn't even bother listening to it - but I secretly keep up with Weezy because I keep hoping he'll get back to his older flow. These new tracks sound nice. I hope the rest of his final album is good, and he leaves on a high note - because I have to agree with Jaz I hate what he's done to music and hiphop.. when he's good he's good, but when he's auto-tune singing, trying to play guitar ( ) no thank you. No Ceilings was a dope mixtape by the by.

Right now, I'm watching the Power 105 Powerhouse concert stream. Waiting for Wiz to come out in a few. Sitting thru this Nicki Minaj set is brutal tho...
I can't expect anything less than a solid album. Most consistent hip-hop act ever imo.
Can't disagree with you there. Game Theory and Undun haven't left my album rotation since I first heard them. I like that they went the route of another concept album. Black Thought is a great storyteller

So they've been in heavy rotation since you first heard them? Which is probably a month ago?

You are just the worst. 90% of your posts are either being a condescending asshole, or making incredibly lame jokes. You could not be more useless

I'm always interested in people's favorite Roots album. Always a different answer. I was stuck on it being Things Fall Apart, then it switched to How I got Over, and lately I've been saying Rising Down. That thing is so incredibly raw and I think its my favorite lyrical performance from BT.
I've been trying to push that album around here, but I got thrashed for even saying it was better than the Carter 2.
Top five is a little much IMO but I LOOOVE that album so much. His lyrics/storytelling is just off the charts and Exiles beats were at their best.
top 5 at least as far of my favorites go.
and Carter II is dope but I don't see how BTH isn't considered better almost universally. it's not even a debate to me.
Yeah I got you. I know plenty of people who hold it in extremely high regard. Its not quite as close to my heart but I think if I made a top 15 hip-hop album list it would be in there somewhere. I've been through crazy love phases with that album. I remember one time I copy and pasted ever lyric that moved me from that album into a word document... randomly.
I'm just now remembering the reason I haven't listened in a while. I saw him live last year and it was atrocious. Never see Blu. Worst show ever and it kind of tainted his name for me.

too late, I've already seen him. and yeah, it was disappointing. but nothing could taint that album for me, it hasn't hurt it in the slightest. also a big fan of Her Favorite Colo(u)r and a good amount of his other work. he just dropped a new album that I'm looking forward to checking out.

I would say either How I Got Over of Undun is my favorite. I love the concept of Undun, and I love just about everything in How I Got Over

I just hated how its like.. I'm seeing this "hungry, passionate, underground rapper" lean up against the mic stand like he doesn't give a fuck.
