Okay, I'm done. Decade of Darkness 2.0 starting now.
It can always be worse, I suppose. You guys aren't setting any records for losing this season or anything. The bright side is that the signs seem to point toward Melo sticking around through the summer. You can always take solace in having one of the five best players in the league on your team.
Assuming you like the guy, of course. If you're not a Melo fan then it's definitely time to start setting yourself on fire.
If I had confidence in the people running the team, I would be bullish on the Knicks. Shump and Baby Tim Hardaway are both very good young players. They seem to have found a steal of a D-Leaguer in Jeremy Tyler. Bargs is better than people give him credit for. They'll have $38 million in expiring deals in Amare ($23+) and Chandler ($14+).
If they had a worthwhile human being with a functioning brain running the team? Those things would give me hope. Since it's Guitar Jimmy Dolan and one of his Isiah-provided lackeys I'm expecting them to give a max deal to some fuckwad with a high ppg total as a middle finger to the team's fans.
Oh Dolan, he really is the worst. Donald Sterling gives him a run for his money, but that's just because Sterling is a racist piece of shit. Dolan has all the terrible basketball moves: drafting Renaldo Balkman, Amare's non-insured contract, giving up way to much to get Melo when they could've had him cheap in the summer, the Chris Smith debacle this year... Yep, good luck with that.
I just saw about Ray Felton too. That makes me sad. I've been a Ray fan since his Charlotte days. I make it a point to wear my Felton jersey during Roo each year. Looks like it's down to just Pablo now.

I REALLY dislike the Knicks right now. My best friend is a huge fan and I feel so bad. I feel like they are the Redskins of the NBA.
I do not agree with Melo being a top five player in the NBA. Even if you made the argument its a huge drop-off after Lebron, Durant, Paul, George (yes george that thigh). I hate his lack of intensity on defense. You are a LEADER and should be promoting qualities that you want the rest of your team to display, especially the younger guys.

Paul George is absolutely a lock for the top 5. No doubt there. It's exciting to think what he'll be capable of as he continues to improve. Dude is only 23! Nutso.

What in the fuck is wrong with NBA players? Can anybody stay healthy at all? It gets worse every year, fantasy basketball has become pointless. What happened to playing 80-82 games? I'd be happy with 75. Every day I check out my lineup to see at least 1-2 new injured players, it's ridiculous.
Is anybody else a fan of a shitty team with a draft pick? Wondering who you guys would like for your teams pick if they won the lotto.
Although the Bulls are not one of those teams, earlier in the season I was hoping for them to tank so they had a chance at Jabari Parker.
I'd agree with that for the bulls. Thibs defensive culture would probably be able to mask his woes on that end of the court.
I think for the Magic I'd Want Wiggins then Exum. I'd be thrilled with Parker but I'd hate for his no-defense mentality to rub off on some of the others.
I'd love to see that team grow together for a couple of seasons, but as its been since Dwight left our interior 1v1 defense and shot-blocking would be questionable.
Thank you Coachella feed on AXS tv for taking my mind off that godawful Pacers effort in Game 1.
Hey I have Bullets Fever. And a beard to prove it. As my kids say - you're growing a Wizard beard but it doesn't count until it's as long as Dumbledore's.

Let's see if they can secure Game 2. Currently down 2 at the half. If they lose this game, that's a wrap for them.
I sure hope they pull it out though, since they're the only team in the East that can challenge Miami and I do really like the team. Speaking of which, pulling for a sweep of Brooklyn. Raps fan here so .......

IDK who to feel more sorry for, Knick or Bulls fans. One has the 2nd worst owner in the league while Drose can't stay healthy and there's no way he's goin be the same player he was when he won the MVP. If I was Melo, I would bolt for Chicago, Thibs can mask Melo's defense while letting the offense *yawn* iso thru him. Personally, I don't see what the big fascination is with that guy, if I wanted an offensive freak outside of KD or LeBron, I would take Curry every single day.
Embiid scares the crap outta me...back injuries are nothing you can put a band-aid on. I'm a huge Magic fan and I'm pretty excited with our core of Oladipo/Harris/Vucevic.
If we can't get Wiggins, than I'm hoping for Exum or Randle. Randle reminds me so much of Zbo and I can see him playing in several All-Star games throughout a solid career. Exum is the guy I hope we draft out of the two thou. Jameer Nelson has played so well for us throughout his entire career, but time has taken a toll on him finally. Nelson can still give us another decent season while mentoring Exum as a rookie.
In a few years, I could see our guards resemble Parker and Ginobili offensively.
Now that Ibaka is out, I wonder how the finals ratings will be this year. Looks like a Spurs/Heat championship (yaaaaaaawn). NBA basketball used to be my number one sport to watch, now it's dropped to third behind NFL and the NHL. At this point I hope the owners don't vote and the players boycott the league and start their own league, that would get me back interested.
