I like Caribou, but I am not as excited about it as I was the first time around. Back Home is so good that it lifts the rest of the album at first. One of the best songs of this year.

Weezer's new album is not bad - definitely their best album since Pinkerton. And much better than most of the other stuff I heard from this month. I still need to listen to FL, though.
I've actually never listened to Pinkerton
I am listening to Rivers on WTF as I type this, and their conversation about Pinkerton has me very intrigued. Gonna pick it up this weekend.

It's an outstanding album... and definitely Weezer at the top of their game. I still go back and listen to it from time to time and recently got the vinyl release. Hope you enjoy!
Y'all are gonna hate me... but after listening to that Vince Staples I'm not even sure RTJ2 is the clear best hip-hop album this month... I dunno
You talking about "Hell Can Wait?" I can't find a full length, so I'm guessing it's the EP, yeah? It's great, though. Limos is my favorite. Where'd this guy come from?
EDIT: Gangsta Boo on Run the Jewels 2!! Glad to hear she's still sexually active. These two albums are the best two rap albums I've heard this year. What else is good?

Yeah it's a short album, but man I listened to it like 5 times in a row, love it so much.
Gangsta Boo has my favorite guest spot on RTJ2, she kills it.
Some of my favorites this year: Ab-Soul - These days Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Piñata ScHoolboy Q - Oxymoron Isaiah Rashad - Cilvia Demo Shabazz Palaces - Les Majesty
I think doing an album of the year poll would be awesome, but it would be a lot of work. Idk if anyone is up to it. If it were to be done, I think the best way to do it would be through a point system. Each voter would have to give a list of their top 5 or 3 albums of the year, ranked. Then you would reverse order the points (#3 album gets 1 pt, #2 - 2 pt, #1 - 3 pt). Album with the most points is your champion.
Edit: Also, I think if this thread continues into next year, we should have a date each month that the polls open. Any voting done before then would not be rocognized.
