Thoughts on this? I find it a bit funny myself. I've never heard good things about his attitude, and he pretty much confirmed them all over the past couple weeks.

There was an interesting article about how most of the other snow borders do not like him. But it was because he was focused on "winning" and did not embrace "everybody is friends let's sit around and talk about our tricks and give each other advice on how to improve" culture that the sport grew out of. I know there is probably some middle ground between those two attitudes, but he is not there. He was/is solely focused on making himself better and winning as much as possible, and that drive made him the best, overall, through the last few years. I was good to see him sincerely embrace the guy that won the gold. He was clearly upset about his performance but took the time to hug and congratulate the winner, who has not been shy about expressing his respect and admiration for White and his abilities.

I think the author is stretching a bit. Love him or hate him or whatever, White knows what it takes to be on top and when he competes that's where he intends to be.

I mostly agree that him dropping out of slopestyle was pretty inconsiderate considering he did indeed take that spot away from people who would have gladly ridden (and not dropped out for fear of "injury" (or losing)).
I don't necessarily think he has to be all "yeah brah lets just carve and get along" but at the same time he doesn't seem like a good loser from what I've heard. I didn't see the event (no cable) but I'm glad to hear he handled this amicably.
In a bet I chose Canada, my older brother chose Russia, my younger brother chose USA to win the Olympic medal count. Currently, I'm in the lead and here are the terms(somehow if you win, you lose):
If Canada wins, I have to chug a large bottle of maple syrup Super Troopers style. I will post a video if I "win".
If Russia wins, my older brother has to eat ten baked potatoes (we couldn't really think of anything Russian at the time other than potato vodka so we went from there.)
If the USA wins, my younger brother has to eat a large block of American cheese.

I don't get it, so you're hoping to chug a bottle of maple syrup? How is that winning? The two losers should have the punishment. I'm surprised one of you didn't choose Poland.

It started as a real bet for a case of beer from each lose, but, after some heavy drinking we decided to turn it upside to where the winner lost. Shake things up a little bit. The maple syrup, baked potatoes, and block of cheese just sounded fun so we changed it.
This Skiathlon announcer is trying to put Gus Johnson to shame.
I had never even heard of the Skiathlon before I tuned into the final 20 minutes of that race, and by the time the finalists were crossing the finish line, my adrenaline was pumping, my heart was racing, and I was clapping and yelling at the TV - something I haven't done in regards to sports in years. Those announcers were amazing.

Interesting. Why not just chug a bottle of something(alcohol) from the respective country. Maybe just a pint so nobody gets alcohol poisoning. USA = some sort of bourbon or JD? Canada = Crown Royal or maybe a 6 pack of Canadian beer? Russia = vodka of course. Then after you drink the booze you have to consume the items you mentioned? Or flip it and consume food then chug alcohol? This would make for a better video if you decide this route.
It's a great time to be Canadian. Unfortunately we don't qualify for the World Cup and we're not very good at the Summer Olympics, so this is our time to show off a little. The Winter Olympics bring our entire country together, and the excitement is genuinely passionate. I love this country and I can't wait for our boys to bring home the gold metal in men's hockey. Good luck to your American athletes as well. As long as those commie bastards don't come in first, we both win!
