Bummed that my record store had so much EXCEPT Jake Bugg live in Seattle
Listen, next RSD we all need to get better at this. Even at 430pm, the record store I went to still had this available in mass quantity. Along with a few other things people were looking for but missed. Fact of the matter is, each record store asks for a certain number of each release, and gets what comes their way. So we could really help each other out in the future if we start a group message system or something to communicate in real time. Deal?
Yea, I was ready to go home from the first store I went to but when on the line to pay I was near a dude I met that day who called up another store and asked what they still had. Turned out they had some more copies of the Grateful Dead, Garcia, Zappa, and others. If I didn't go to the other store I wouldn't have got half of what I did (the first store was all out of what I found at store #2) and we could figure something out. I've gotten an item or two for other inforoosters in the past but we can probably set up some kind of more organized set-up for a group of folks on here. I know there's plenty of stuff that I could have gotten that I wasn't interested in and would have made for an easy swap.

Absolutely. Grateful Dead was also available in abundance at CD Central, even by afternoon. We could really clean up if we all worked together. Inforoo will own RSD. Mawahhahahaha.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Bull Moose has their inventory online now! just got django django
Thanks for the heads up! I missed out on Django (you probably got one of the last ones) but was able to pick up Conor Oberst, Haim, and Zappa. Awesome.
Picked up Childish Gambino at like 6 this afternoon in a local store... They still had 2 left. Couldn't pass that up. Can pick up the other for someone if it's still available Wednesday when I go.
Some of the record stores actually lay out and sell a lot of the goods before record store day. One had stuff out on Thursday.
I think I remember A$AP Rosko telling me that was a big no-no one year that I was able to get something early from a tiny local place who would order and save things for a few of us. He can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he said they sign a contract that specifically forbids this. Not that it really matters as long as they don't get caught. And I hope you were able to reap a good RSD haul ahead of the crowd!

Yea a lot of places sign things and have to follow the rules or risk getting banned. All the places by me said there was an agreement about when they could sell things on their website and things like that.
Jimi Hendrix- Would still recommend buying it after RSD when the prices drop but a 200g vinyl with a nice protective inner sleeve and cool linear notes. Sounds tremendous.
Spinning this one for the first time. Holy hell Jimi Hendrix was the coolest dude on the planet. "Yea, brother, yea haha. Dig this one, it's really far out." *immediately shreds on the guitar with the power of a million angels*
I got the LCD box, Jimmy Page/Black Crowes, Tame Impala, David Lynch (which apparently everyone had a hard time finding), and the Thievery Corp. 7".
Oh, and I'm eating my CAKE as I type - hmmmmmmmmmm, well worth getting in line at 3:15 in da morn.
I must have had some good karma, cause I was only in line that early for my buddy that drove the hour to come to my town, just to get the CAKE. I live 4 blocks from 2 of the shops. A guy was visiting my town to see some relatives, and as he was from 2 1/2 hrs away, and showed up 5 min. after us, I let him have dibs on the other CAKE the store had. (We knew they had 2) He looked at me skeptically for 10 min. cause he didn't believe me, then he eased up. Made his morning. Shot over to the other shop after we were done at the first, and we were amazingly 1st. Wild. (The shop had a promo for the first 3 spots, so we were 4th and 5th, which was cool) All 3 of those folks had 3 min to themselves in the store, and not one grabbed the one CAKE set they had. So, it was mine, and I couldn't be happier. Made one shopper's day, and ended up getting the one thing I didn't expect to.
Glad to see some folks on here still into this, cause I really wonder how long RSD will last. I love it for the stores, but dislike it completely cause of the flippers that prob don't even own a TT.

Stopped by the record store again yesterday and they had a copy of the Spoon RSD release left. Needless to say I bought it. I really wanted the Liars and Velvet Underground RSD releases but was way too late, and now they're both going for triple the value on eBay/craigslist/etc. Fuck

In case anyone was still looking for it, the glow in the dark Ghostbusters record is available for pre-order from a lot of locations. Much cheaper than the bullshit on Ebay:
Amazing....thank you. This and the Ghostbusters release were my two big misses this year. Now I'll be able to have both and don't have to pay ridiculous upcharges like the ones I saw on Ebay or Discogs. Glad I waited and didn't buy this for $50.
